FFX is a very beloved title in Japan and the remake would not only set the Vita as a serious competitor to the 3DS but also help out Square financially.
LOL, most of us FF fans will wind up picking this up on PS3 over PS Vita.

At least we won't have to be embarrassed about the laughing scene anymore!Well I'm double dipping. FFX is personally one of my favorite FF tiles plus X-2 on the Vita will be a godsend. Playng it on a small screen with headphones on so no one can hear and see what you are playing like the way it was meant to be

Thanks, I must have missed that announcement. No, they've been confirmed for separate releases on Vita in Japan. Square Enix has stated that development is further along on those builds. If Sony's smart they'll launch them as timed exclusives for Vita.
I don't want to make a full prediction because I don't really care about the rest of the games we're discussing here, but I think it's fairly likely that MH4 won't hit 2 million within the period we're discussing at retail. MH3P sales rose so quickly on the back of it being the begining of the holiday season and that only made it to 2.5 million after 12 days and some here are predicting 2.7 million with just 4 extra days of tracking?
On the extreme high end I'd say 2.5 million and the low end 1.5 million with roughly 2 million being the most likely number.
Is there a chart somewhere showing weekly Vita sales since the price cut in Japan? Or do I have to search through all the threads?

No sell-through for Conception II 3DS (probably a flop)
Maybe we can extrapolate from Sinobi expected shipment.
W101 was released today. Its on the 86 place in the amazon rankings right now. To put some perspective, Lego was in the top 20 at its release.
But, the game is on eshop since a couple of hours ago and its already number seven in the rankings, so at least i can say that the game is gathering more attention than Yakuza! lol
[PS3] Super Robot Wars OG Saga: Masou Kishin III - Pride of Justice - 32k
[PSV] Super Robot Wars OG Saga: Masou Kishin III - Pride of Justice - 12k

I don't remember the Dungeons & Dragons shipment, as for Masou Kishin it would be very very dissapointing sales, the two previous episodes were in the range of ~80k FW

Now look at FFIV DS sales. Using Square-Enix Logic they'd be bankrupt by now!
I think I would prefer having it on the Vita for portability even though the PS3 version will likely be a better deal. I'm not sure how widespread that sentiment is though. I expect the PS3 version to sell twice the number of copies as Vita.
What is exactly special about AC:NL carts? Do you guys think that Pokémon will use those carts?
[NDS] Final Fantasy III {2006-08-24} (Square Enix) - 986,133
Where the fuck is FFV?
Source...the company’s goal is to reach a total of 2.8 million units sold after seven months of Monster Hunter 4’s release.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf used a cart that contained a memory chip called SLC-NAND, which allowed the game to save a massive amount of data very quickly.
This is what initially led Animal Crossing: New Leaf to experience retail shortages in Japan, as these carts had to be specially ordered, and AC:NL was more popular than Nintendo expected. So for future games, if demand exceeds initial supply, it would be hard to replace them quickly.
Considering the breadth of Pokemon X / Y, I wouldn't be surprised if Game Freak makes use of the SLC-NAND enhanced cards as well.
Sorry but this is notably less money than Puzzle & Dragon made. I hope you enjoy mobiles and tablets.
So what I'm seeing in the numbers here is that Japan really loves consoles and hate handhelds. Also nintendo has like no games that sell well.
What?
What?
*bunch of impressive charts and numbers*
Well I found this interesting:

The link also says there are no plans for MH4 on Vita (shocking).
Why is it with Monster Hunter Capcom have reasonable (and modest) expectations, but with pretty much any other series they go insane.
He is exaggerating an issue contrary to reality for humorous effect.
That isn't saying much lol. This game is going to tank so badly.
Also from that article, their new focus is on adding (more) online functionality to their games in order increase playtime.
This presumably relates to their plan to have mountains of DLC, because if people aren't still playing, they're less likely to buy DLC: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=542523
Monster Hunter is a bit different for them and I can't really see them changing their strategy. As far as I know, all of the DLC in the mainline games have been free. But they haven't added new monsters or areas via DLC. It is like on-disc DLC pretty much for the most part except for new armor.

This is more of an overall corporate direction.
Like Ace Attorney has a fair amount of DLC now as well.
That's true. I was just talking about Monster Hunter since it seems Capcom treat it differently compared to the rest of their series.
