Nah, last time was around 130K.I think Hot Shots Golf for PSV got near 300k.
Now maybe it is at 150K (not counting digital sales) ...
P4G will be the first Vita game to cross the 200K barrier (at retail).

But it's not the first time a Vita game has charted in its first week? But thanks for the nonanswer.

If you read his entire sentence, I think his point is that this is the first time a Vita game charted and hardware sales still went down.
Yeah, I read it as the same as you. No idea what he's talking about.
You guys are either mentally inserting a comma where there isn't one or mistaking his emphasis. He's talking about a compound event (vita game charts AND hardware sales go down), not two separate events in sequence ("this is the first a Vita game charted in its first week . . . oh, and Vita sales went down").
SFxT actually might be the worst series of decisions Capcom has made in more than a decade.

The only thing they can do in order to repair to this is announcing Tatsunoko v.s. Capcom 2 on 3DS RIGHT NOW!!!
Seriously, I think it's time for 3DS to see some other fighting game from Capcom, at least
It's certainly one of the most mishandled events in video game history.
SF had a renaissance. Tekken was always popular. Capcom has a great track record with crossovers. What could possibly go wrong?
everything.
I'd really love someone to spill the beans on everything that happened. We can make educated guesses (Sony moneyhats, executive meddling, pressure to make the game more casual-friendly long after the game design was etched in concrete, heavy push for DLC), but I'm eager for whoever Capcom marginalizes or fires for this catastrophe going to 4Gamer or something and just telling everything.
That doesn't really happen in the Japanese video game industry. Or at least, I can't remember any stories about development problems from Japanese devs unless the studio was shut down or something.
Next week:
THE RETURN OF THE KING
Are yall ready?

Question- Are people more skeptical/doubtful of PS4's success (worldwide, but focused on Japan) because of Vita's failure, or do you think they are 2 completely different scenarios that have nothing to do with each other?
Myself, I would say a bit of both. PS4 is guaranteed to be healthier than Vita because of the West, but I would be lying if I said I do not wonder a little bit about Sony's overall competence right now.
I'm on the same as VITA camp, because, if you want a console to play western games, there is already the Xbox, and Japan seems to be Nintendo land at the moment. Better than VITA, but much worse than PS3.Question- Are people more skeptical/doubtful of PS4's success (worldwide, but focused on Japan) because of Vita's failure, or do you think they are 2 completely different scenarios that have nothing to do with each other?

All Sony have to do is be close enough to Durango to ensure 3rd party support & the PS4 will be fine.

Just to be sure, you know that matrix didn't develope BD.whoa that's some low Vita sales and that's with it having some top 20 games... craaaaazy, Sony really has to do something with Vita in Japan.
I am loving Bravely Default numbers, as a fan of Matrix Software and Final Fantasy 4 Heroes of Light, I'm really glad to see it succeed without the Final Fantasy name, and now I can't wait for it to hit the states.
Yeah, that is the whole entertainment division

In the West, possibly. In Japan, quite possibly not, if Wii U gets the big multiplatform games as well.
That's a pretty big "if," mind you.

I don't think they should get out of the genre, but they should definitely lay off on annual releases of different IPs and stuck to title updates. There's way too many different good fighting games on the market now, and I feel the FGC has this weird "gotta play them all" mentality with them. The market is also a fixed size and hasn't really grown since SF4 got released.I think it's time for Capcom to stop making fighting games again. The genre's wrecked.

subsequent FF games going to WiiU, possibly exclusive

I have mentioned before that, unless Sony buys a majority share in a major JP developer and/or buy some big name JP centric IPs, the PS4 is in jeopardy in Japan as well. Sony has no big JP selling IPs anymore outside of Gran Turismo and that's in major decline with GT5 failing to reach 1 million for the first time in franchise history.
The WiiU is already getting a main MH and a main DQ, albeit ports, but it's a good sign for prospective customers. Unless something changes, I see FFvXIII (if no prohibitive contracts are in place) or FFXV and subsequent FF games going to WiiU, possibly exclusive. There have been hints of RE going to WiiU, other big JP games like MGS, Yakuza, etc will be sure to follow. If Disney doesn't take it and KH franchise stays with SE, then the WiiU will possibly get the next main game as well.
lol come on. And if Capcom makes a RE game for Wii U it will be a late RE6 port that no one cares about. My whole point was that the time it takes to make these games put PS4 in a precarious position, not that Wii U getting a bunch of exclusives will actually happen.
Outside of Yakuza, DQ & MH all the other games you mentioned sell more in the west, I don't think any of the companies involved will allow them to fall behind in terms of mindshare in the west(which will mean being on Durango/PS4), so I don't see any chance of FF going WiiU exclusive (unless it is in a FF:CC sort of spinoff).
Uh no it wouldn't be ridiculous because MH would have probably been on the DS if it could run it. The only reason I didn't think it might happen was because of the lack of a 2nd analog.
If I said 18 months ago that MH was gonna be moved from PSP to 3DS and 3DS was going to have the franchise exclusively, that would have been a ridiculous assertion wouldn't it?
If, more like when, FFXIV 2.0 releases and bombs on PS3, I can see SE reassessing the franchise while the brand still has some value.
I can see them focusing on one platform to revive the franchise.
Is there anything that even comes close since 2002?SFxT actually might be the worst series of decisions Capcom has made in more than a decade.
I think Vita's failure is money that could be used on the PS4. It's not even getting the multi-platform titles that are coming to the 360/PS3, I don't think there is a hope of getting many of the next gen titles(outside of the Fifa's of this world).
I'm talking about Japan, though. What major Japanese multiplatform titles do we know of that Wii U isn't getting? RE6, at least this year, but what else?
I really do wonder how the niche publishers feel about the situation. The PSP was a nice home for them. But will they stick with the PSV, or move to the 3DS?
