Fam always shows LOWER software sales for Vita but then HIGHER hardware sales than MC.
Its odd.

Why did capcom get rid of clover? That's honestly the craziest thing ever to let go of all that talent.
All of them, what multi-platform titles have been announced for it? Remember Me won't be coming(I believe Capcom have stated that, butI'm not sure if that is in-house or not).
Ground Zeroes, Rising, Dynasty Warriors 7, Yakuza 5, Lightning Returns just off the top of my head.

They have to confirm that a WiiU version does not exist? The simple lack of an announcement for the console is not enough?Rising is one. Yakuza 5 isn't multiplatform. None of the others have been confirmed either way.

sunk to hellWhat ever happened to vita heaven 2?
If you put it that way I would be even more concerned. There being so few games announced is clearly not a good sign.Considering that a grand total of two Wii U titles have been announced worldwide for the post-launch-window period, no, it's not enough.

Your reasoning reminds me of Gamecube days where people were waiting for GTAIII to be announced for the Cube forever.

kotaku said:When asked why the game wasn't getting a Wii U release, Kitase replied, "Since we've developed this title on the same game engine as the previous two installments, the compatible platforms will be the same as that of the previous two as well."
Uh no it wouldn't be ridiculous because MH would have probably been on the DS if it could run it. The only reason I didn't think it might happen was because of the lack of a 2nd analog.

The Japanese really don't like the Vita... I wonder why, because there are some amazing games available to them. They just don't bite. Is it the price? Should it be a lot cheaper with built in memory and bundled with a game? Or are they just too Nintendo-minded?
Bravely Default is really that great? I'm curious.
SFxT is a big Vita game now? :lolThis is the one "big" game on the Vita where the game itself is more of a barrier to sales then the platform. It's a game with a ton of negative word of mouth coming out months later.
Though this version is special in that it is seen by many as the scapegoat for a lot of SvT's troubles regarding the DLC.
SFxT is a big Vita game now? :lol
SCE thought it was going to be big. They devoted time to it at E3 2011, and have a few exclusive characters. I don't blame them either because the two largest fighting game franchises crossing over shouldn't have bombed, but with Capcom there's a way. Once people got hands on with the game any hope for it being a big seller on any platform kind of washed away.
If you had asked me back when it was first announced for Vita what I thought the low end of SvT's first week would have been I'd have said 30k.

The problem with Sony is that they do not have the money or the resources. Particularly the game development; they've spread themselves thin having to develop games for three different platforms, including PS4 which is undisputedly the most important platform right now for the future of SCE.
On the other hand, people didn't really give a shit to 3DS initially. It's just Nintendo who really wants to do it right. And, surprise surprise, they just turned it around.
Then the pages of history books are ripped so we don't know what happenned, but on the continuing chapter 3DS is kicking Vita's ass.
Even if Vita was selling a healthy amount of hardware I still think it would've struggled to do 30k first week. The game's just poisoned and at this point it's too late to change that.
Does anyone think Tekken x Street Fighter will ever exist or will Harada and crew just go to Tekken 7 now that TT2 is done?
Kaz's "One Sony" strategy is just wrong for SCE. Separating from the main Sony group is what made the success of playstation in the first place.
Reaction when 3DS was revealed was VERY positive. Then it went down when it was priced at $250, but even more when Vita was priced the same. Then the pages of history books are ripped so we don't know what happenned, but on the continuing chapter 3DS is kicking Vita's ass.
It also helped that 3DS never came close to doing as poorly as Vita is doing.
this.
plus the first party IPs.
plus the already announced wave of Japanese games.
a lot of differences.
I think many people got confused by the 3DS troubles and turnaround thinking the vita was in a similar position so nothing to worry about.
The reality is there would of been a complete meltdown @ nintendo HQ if the 3DS was even anywhere close to performing as bad as the vita in the hardware and software numbers.
I think that they will have much more focus on a multimedia box. It already happened with PS3 and Xbox 360, yet the gaming side is still very strong. Are you guys sure that the PS4/720 will be a "standard" console? You don't think that they can have some new feature that can change things? Wii has the Wiimote and Wii U has the new pad with the touch screen. IMO both Microsoft and Sony have realized that their new console need something new and interesting, especially to attract a more broader audience, and can't be only an updated version of the PS3/360.
On a side note, what's keeping DQVII from hitting PSN?

Maybe as free DLC for TTT2 or something a year down the road, lolDoes anyone think Tekken x Street Fighter will ever exist or will Harada and crew just go to Tekken 7 now that TT2 is done?
Harada also isn't stupid. xT managed to poison the well of the crossover before it even released. If SFxT had sold well enough it'd be an easier sell from a business perspective, but at this point there's absolutely nothing going for the game.TxSF will come out. Harada isn't scum like Ono and Crapcom.
I know 3DS never did as worse as Vita, but still, when you think about it, there's still room for Vita to be successful.
For 3DS ? It was price drop + Monster Hunter (+Mario of course).
But Vita ? Well, it's up to Sony to make things happen but... well I think people could change their mind about Vita's fate if they could announce a price drop + Final Fantasy VII remake.
Yup, I'm serious![]()
Nintendo got their act together on 3DS by the end of the year, how long are people suppose to wait for Sony to do the same for Vita?
At this point, the only price drop the Vita is going to get is when it's discontinued. As for FFVII remake, I don't think Sony has the cash to convince SE to do something of that magnitude and make it exclusive on the off chance that it would salvage an arguably already dead platform. But Vita ? It sucks, but Sony really screwed the pooch on this one. RIP Vita. :|
