I always just assumed he was just trying to ingratiate himself with the community early on by following as many people as possible. I got a notification about it, and just thought "oh hmm this new dude must like my posts or something." I didn't find it creepy really, I don't know what "following" users even does, probably just doing it for reactions. I have followed a few and I don't notice how that impacts anything. I just find this a weird sticking point, I'm not a big fan of his really, but I calling him a stalker for this is taking it a bit far perhaps.

It amuses me that someone would actively follow that many people, but it is a quick way to keep tabs on active members reactions scores as the main list only features the top 20 if that was your particular fixation.

Today is "bring your kid to work" day. I had these 2 teenage boys sitting with me for a few minutes, asking me basic questions. The one kid's mom told them I was "a gamer", so one asked me "so you're a gamer? What do you play?" I'm like "mostly street fighter", pointing to my Ryu & Chun funkos. The kid is like "anything else?" lol.

The other kid asked if I had played Titanfall, I'm like no but I bought the second one for 10 bucks on amazon after seeing a cool speedrun of it. he's like "What's speed running?" These kids are like 14 or 15, I'm surprised they have never heard of speed running.

Now imagine literally every family function I've been to in the last 6 years.

"Oh your uncle jshackles made some sort of gaming doo-hickey online" -> cue all of my young nieces and nephews asking me what my favorite Fortnite weapon is.

I got a PS3 when I was 16. I had a genesis, PS1 and a GBA as a kid. I got a gamecube and DS when I was 11 or 12. I bought a Wii when I was 14.
