So use/abuse console gamers dollars so PC gamers could get free stuff?I think the safe bet is to buy 2033 redux and wait on last light or something
Like I said in the steam thread, this is something Metro 2033 needed, it's basically them fixing it, and it's barely an improvement to Last Light on PC.
I really think this should be a free update for those who already own the games on PC (or at least just the DLC price) and make the profit just on consoles, but oh well.
Is the stealth any good?

I really don't see a deal even with the discount on Steam. Even Eidos took a better approach with the Deus Ex : Human Revolution Director's Cut. However, that was something that good pc developer don't do. Valve has upgraded the engine on Source games and how many times have they charged for the upgrade? None. CD Projekt Red is the golden standard of how this things should be handled. If you released a new edition, you give that to existing owners as a patch free of charge.
Deep Silver, I imagine. They published Last Light after THQ's closure. Now that thq is dead, who will publish this game?
Now that thq is dead, who will publish this game?
I don't know if we could have that with the Metro series, especially with 2033, which was released under THQ. Sure, Deep Silver has the rights now, but we can't be sure if there's something blocking them from working on THQ's version of Metro 2033 and releasing patches to make that a free upgrade.
Deep Silver has publishing rights, and 4A Games always owned the IP. There's is no reason why this couldn't be a free patch for existing owners, other than greed.
It will release on August 28 according to "a source"
Huh? So is Metro LL. So that doesn't really make a difference. Point is you still think Metro 2033 Redux should be a free update for PC gamers because they'll profit from the consoles as is.AFAIK Metro 2033 isnt available for PS4/XBO, it's a new release there, not so much on PC
Congratz to 4A, they crafted excellent package. I will most likely purchase M2033Redux on PS4 this summer. Never played anything from that franchise.
#1 old version of the game
#2 on probably old drivers
#3 if that shows the framerate of in-game benchmark, you can throw your results to the water. That benchmark is "stress benchmark", it showcases much more stressful scene than it can be seen in 99.9% of the LL.
Here's the M:LL on Radeon 7870 on Ultra visual setting [probably no AA] with "Min-36 Average-40 Max-59".

Wrong. You're the one being greedy and is apparently part of that want something for nothing gen. This is a new product. If you want the new product you pay for the new product. Otherwise, you can continue to play the version that you already own.Deep Silver has publishing rights, and 4A Games always owned the IP. There's is no reason why this couldn't be a free patch for existing owners, other than greed.
I like Last Light a lot more than 2033, but this will give me an opportunity to play through both again on PC. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners are in for a treat either way, especially when it comes to Last Light, which is one of the better first person shooters to hit the market in the last few years and still one of the most technologically and artistically impressive games available. Great level design and very satisfying hit feedback.
EDIT: The downside of both is the story, in my opinion, which is very intriguing thematically and conceptually but hindered by an often unauthentic sounding dub. I really, really wish games would explore alternative methods of subtitle display when playing with non-English audio. Subs are fine for movies where it's a linear experience and I'm a passenger. Games, on the other hand, I have too much control in, and when you're trying to sneak around and listen to guard chatter tiny little subs at the bottom of the screen just feel wrong.
Thanks to Best Buys gamer unlocked club I will be picking this package up for 39.99.... Prob going with X1 version for now.
Great deal on the package and well done by the Pub and Dev on this.
This is a good point, but is obviously something tough to fix. I played through Last Light in Russian and absolutely loved it. Yes there were times when I felt ripped out of the moment to check the subtitles, but the net result was a more immersive feeling while playing through the game.EDIT: The downside of both is the story, in my opinion, which is very intriguing thematically and conceptually but hindered by an often unauthentic sounding dub.
