Yes.
They need to open a Chick-Fil-A there. Won't even lose a day of regular business!

Again, he left the board. Who knows, that might have been a reason.
I'm referring to the garbage like people claiming that they're going to be banning gay people from the premises, when there are actual gay members that hold leadership positions.
You forgot to mention that all of those "openly gay" members in leadership positions are ONLY there as long as they aren't in openly gay relationships and don't do anything "gayish." The minute they do, they're out. That isn't tolerance, or acceptance, or progress. It's a farce, and you know it.
Pretty sure there is one.
Farce? The church isn't pretending to be tolerant or accepting of that behavior and never has.

quoi? Dude the mall isn't even open.Jeff-DSA is committing the farce. He tried to suggest that because gay members are allowed to serve in the church (caveat - as long as they put on a heterosexual appearance), that that somehow means that the church has suddenly become a welcoming place for the gays, and that it would be unconscionable for a store in that shopping center to deny service to a gay couple if they were spotted holding hands/kissing. The reality is that they absolutely could, and already do.

I have to agree here. It's not like the church has changed any stance or is trying to exploit the gay community. It's holding to the same teaching it always has. You can be called to leadership or anything, the moment you start to sin you're out (and yes gay activity is a sin according to the church). They're neither anymore or less accepting than they have been in the past.

Businesses all over the country do this already; the mall absolutely could. Edited.

Thanks for the tithing! We totally spent it building a Mega mall and GAP Kids!!
Then it's on those businesses. You can't blame the mormon church because of what businesses do. Or assume how they will act because they are mormon.
No, he was saying that there is no need to make up bullshit and he is right.
No, he was saying that there is no need to make up bullshit and he is right. There are plenty of reasons to hate on the church but if you're being ignorant then it is just making you look moronic.
Thanks for the reading!
I can absolutely assume that. It's a perfectly acceptable practice in their place of worship. They do it to their own people. Why not someone else?

So government owned/run business is dirty socialism but church owned/run business is . . . ? Theocapitalism?
Yeah I know but my point is a few hours isn't enough to be saying "They're kicking teh gayz out!!"Opened today.

Mormon-ey?

I've read over 30,000 pages on LDS Church history and theology. I've done more than enough reading, thanks.

There is no reason to believe that a gay couple wouldn't be banned from shopping at a store in that mall. Especially when the funding comes from an organization that ostracizes homosexuality. You don't fucking know that, and neither does he.
Does the mall sell non-Mormon underwear?
They need to open a Chick-Fil-A there. Won't even lose a day of regular business!
It looks like a beautiful place, but man 5 billion is just insane. I would think a project like this wouldn't exceed 2 billion.
Its so new but the look is so midwest/nothingness.
how about some modern architecture mormons!
I'm waiting for the first scandal involving gay/non-mormons/sinners being expelled from the shopping center in accordance with their "moral rules".
They have lots and lots of blind followers willing to donate almost everything they own.
So I guess birth control coverage is completely out of the question for anyone living in downtown salt lake city area?
You rang?
But to my knowledge, City Creek isn't owned by the LDS church. They just put money into it I thought. I might be wrong.
Sounds to me like they should have their tax exempt status removed.
