Of course the Flim Flam brothers were bad! what show was you watching? They made a machine that only they could power and wanted to cut the apples out of the majority of the profits, They basically wanted to turn the Apple family in little more then sharecroppers!

Yeah, its pretty lame to just drop a character who you'd presume would be a major part of the life of the show's main character.

They'd better try hard to justify his non-existence up until this point in the series and not just go "Yah, I dunno, everyone has brothers now because hasbro thought more male characters would be a good idea"

Anyway, I'm not too bothered that we've never heard mention of him before. With a name and cutie mark like that he's probably career military or something and doesn't get many chances to visit his family. Besides, Twilight and him are both adults and it's not that uncommon for adult siblings to lose touch with each other. Or maybe they never got along, Twi being a bookish nerd and her brother being a big brawny guy. There's lots of possible explanations.

yeah it's easy to have a brother you never mention. and I agree that sparkle and shining can be a link. Also Twi's dad is white.

I don't know. "Never apologize when you can criticize"? That seems to go way beyond assertivity to me.

But never mind that. The episode could be 20 minutes of Fluttershy's adorable little self-realization smile at the end of the seminar scene, and I would still love the hell out of it.

Well, at least that means theres no more Saturdays with Re-run ponies from now to the 21st of april. Just a huge sea of them afterwards...
