-Entered full production earlier this year
I'm not shocked this would be the most stacked BF in terms of development as, well we are in modern times, we need them massive teams for this IP, but I'm more surprised its entering full development this year, it sounds like they had more time to design or something, was I would have expected them to be working on it longer prior to this.
Sticking to core BF concept is what is needed, so I'm happy to hear this.
Its also interesting the are not doing a time period, but making it a modern time frame, usually at the start of a gen, they'll do modern and then do some period like BF4 to BF1 or BF2 and then 2142 etc
"I mean, if you look back to the peak or the pinnacle of Battlefield, it's that Battlefield 3... Battlefield 4 era where everything was modern. And I think we have to get back to the core of what Battlefield is and do that amazingly well, and then we'll see where it goes from there. But I think for me, it's that peak of Battlefield-ness is in that Battlefield 3 and 4 days. So I think it's nostalgic for players, for me, for the teams even. Those are kind of the heyday...although I would say 1942 also."
So it seems this next one will be BF4/BF3 esk
