Dude, this is litteraly porn carn. NSFW content!some GT sport details (photomode)
Yeah i hope so, in there interviews they always talked about GTS and the feedback the controller had when playing the game. So it wouldn't surprise me if they show GTS running 4K 120fps on PS5 to show its power and load times and how the controller is reacting with those adaptive triggers. I also expect something from Turn 10 at MS conference when they talk about ray tracing, because they are one of the leading studios at MS and a perfect showcase. So i think we will be seeing GT Sport path tracing demo tomorrow.

I know it's difficult to say but which is the best between assetto competizione and PCars2 on PC graphicwise? Also which is the most moddable? Not talking about car skins but about tracks and graphic elements such as textures and effects
The king of current gen are low-res compressed GIF images of GT Sport. Can't wait for new GT and Forza to be revealed, this thread's gonna be amazing. I've been lurking for some time, sooo, what's the final consensus, who is the king of current gen?
Cop-out answer for me but I think they all excel in separate areas, it really depends on what you're looking for. Can't wait for new GT and Forza to be revealed, this thread's gonna be amazing. I've been lurking for some time, sooo, what's the final consensus, who is the king of current gen?
Agreed, objectively nobody can say for either of those games that they look bad, we've come very far from pixelated, texture warped PS1 graphics.Cop-out answer for me but I think they all excel in separate areas, it really depends on what you're looking for.
I'd say:
- Lighting: GTS/FH4
- Weather: Driveclub
- In-game car models: FH4
- Photo mode car models: GTS

ACC and PC2 are also great looking games, FM7 looks good, but IMO it's like they messed up lighting, something is very off. To me, it looks worse than FM6. Just don't get me wrong - FM also looks great, but there are things that drag whole presentation down, like those ugly trees on FM7 Maple Valley. When there's not much trees around, FM looks awesome, but on FM7 lighting can be really flat and ugly.
Are you playing in HDR? It changes the whole color spectrum, it looks dull outside of it.I agree with the sentiment about FM7. Graphically it's fantastic but the colours and "dullness" of the image are really odd. I've been playing FM6 lately and it almost feels like playing a Sega racer in comparison, so bright and colourful. Can't wait to see how FM8 looks though.
I don't have a HDR screen but it still shouldn't look so dull. Horizon 4 looks perfect without it.Are you playing in HDR? It changes the whole color spectrum, it looks dull outside of it.
Yeah, Forza 7 was like built with HDR in mind so the whole game is like mapped for it. I'll show you something so you can get an idea of what I see, obviously you won't get the highlights but you'll see the difference absolutely.I don't have a HDR screen but it still shouldn't look so dull. Horizon 4 looks perfect without it.
who is the king of current gen?
Yep, I played FM6 yesterday, that's exactly my point. FM7 feels like it's too dark at moments. Also, I don't like how they made sun glare, it's overdone.I agree with the sentiment about FM7. GT was always top of the game with replays.GTS' replay mode is the curent king.
Gameplay visuals are a mixed bag though. None of them are clear winners.
Can't wait for new GT and Forza to be revealed
Although there are some rumors about GT7 being launch title, I'm sceptical about it. Maybe we could see GT Sport rerelease for PS5 first.Forza sure it will be 100% on launch but GT ? Maybe few years after launch much like GTS. It is clear that polyphony dropped ball hard on production those past 2 releases while Turn10 is operating like clockwork.

Looks like dog shit if thats supposed to be next gen.I'm quite happy to find a little bit of motorstorm and driveclub (same devs) in this new Dirt 5 .. strongly to see that finalized on next gen
It looks like Driveclub, Forza Horizon 4 and Dirt mix wich is perfectly fine and it runs 4K60fps with a additional 120fps mode wich is nice. Happy to see those guys work again, need to hop back on Drivelcub again.I'm quite happy to find a little bit of motorstorm and driveclub (same devs) in this new Dirt 5 .. strongly to see that finalized on next gen

100%. Forza Horizon 4 (2018 game) look far superior in every aspect and it's an open world game. I would argue that I can get better shots in Forza Horizon 3 (2016 game) on my PC.Looks like dog shit if thats supposed to be next gen.
I got back into it recently on XB1X, and it looks good on there, a lot better than the other consoles. So yeah i can only imagine its even better on PC.Dont sleep on Project Cars 2 on PC. Looks and plays so much better than on console. Best in dash view imo
You can see how much better in gameplay car models are in Driveclub than GTS in this video.
I'd have the 60fps all day, but the resolution is the same on base ps4 and I know it's not that in that video. But yeah it's a video from someone else for a change that realises the car models ain't as good as they first seem unlike DF who just brushed across it in that Gts v Forza video. Not surprising considering that GT is pushing twice as many frames each second and at a higher resolution.

After seeing the UE5 footage from a PS5 today im almost 100% sure that they will use the highest lod for in game for there next game on PS5. Next gen racing games are gonna look nuts, whe can finaly have super detailed tracks or open worlds now, wich was one of the lacking areas this gen in SIM racers. Hope GT7/GTS2 and Forza Motorsport 8 are day one on both console at launch. The Koenigsegg Jesko. GRID does the same thing Grand Turismo where it lowers the polycount and textures of the interior of the car. Exterior looks great. I hate that this game doesn't have a photomode. This is just in game with the exter race view.

Do you remember a year or 2 ago when someone posted a link to a company that done the car models for Driveclub and Forza and that they where the same assets or something like that. And the usual old crew are saying that GTS where better/more detailed gameplay models etc than Driveclub. After seeing the UE5 footage from a PS5 today im almost 100% sure that they will use the highest lod for in game for there next game on PS5. The demo was 30fps though, and according to DF 1440p too. I'll manage my expectations regarding tech demos. A tech demo is not a game. Anybody remember 2012 Agni's philopshy tech demo from Square?
8 years later the vast majority of games don't look this good.
I know man, i had a pretty hefty discussion in here with alot of the guys . It was clear as daylight that GTS didn't use the higher quality lods during gameplay but some people here didn't want to see the truth. Scape mode is a different story tho, there the models are top notch and probably one of the best with its tessellation wich i hope they use for in game next gen.Do you remember a year or 2 ago when someone posted a link to a company that done the car models for Driveclub and Forza and that they where the same assets or something like that. Well if that's true about Driveclub and Forza car models.
