Just finished the 1st trial as a warrior on the 1st attempt. Was not too bad. Leap slam cleared most packs pretty easily without taking much damage. Lost most of my honour on the spikes.

Found it a lot quicker than the lab in PoE so I think I prefer it actually.

Felt a bit bad opening a gold chest and only getting 2 blues though. They may need to tune the chest drops a bit. Especially as the bronze one dropped a rare.

Yes, IMO the if you're gonna color the chest, make it drop the corresponding rarity. I would love to see the extremely rare orange chest too.

Just before the servers closed I was rearranging the stashes again.

I consolidated the magic crafting and sockets crafting tabs into one big crafting quad tab. The purpose of this quad tab is to have a good starting base to craft items. It is full of magic items that have a very high roll on their affixes. This makes them ideal candidates to turn into rare items with a Regal Orb.

The socketed white items are also a good base to start crafting from because Artificer's Orbs (the ones that make sockets) are expensive and rare.

What to do if you want to craft an item:

If you need a particular stat like mana, HP, armor, etc, take out an item from the Crafting Depot with a high roll of that stat. Use your Regal Orb on it. Use Exalted Orbs if you want to add more mods, up to 6.

What to do if you see a high rolled magic item, or a socketed item drop for you, or if you see really high rolled magic items in the NPC shop:
Save it for yourself, but if you don't need it or don't want it, donate it to the Crafting Depot.

There's only so much that can drop for one person, so if all of us keep an eye out for items that are potentially useful for other people, then we will collectively be able to craft things that we want more easily.

If you are unfamiliar with the crafting process, check out these guides

Really warming up to Monk now that I have more skills available. Feels great to play now getting down the flow of combat. That bell is just so bad ass, feels great hitting that thing and igniting it with elemental skills.

I have also been pretty damn lucky with drops, got 3 Yellow pieces of gear 2 of which have movement speed and increase the chance rares appearing.

Just barely scratching the surface of it, but this game is crack. I can see myself playing this for years.

Ah I see.

Looking at Reddit now. Lots of unhappy posts. They should give everyone a scroll of respec after every patch.
good thing i have like 190k gold. probably have enough gold to respec. maybe going back to lightning. triggering my d4 sorc ptsd.

edit: one +4 lightning skill staff and a dream.

I was about to say if you need help farming gold we can go on a couple of runs and I'll give you all the vendor trash that drops for me :messenger_grinning_squinting:

Speaking of lightning sorc, I was looking at the tree and that 60% chance for lightning skills to chain looks interesting.

I think that I just donated 100 points to the Guild, but I'm not sure. This game is obtuse in many of its menus. Afterwards, I saw a separate and distinct menu for donating to member slots. Anyway, I did so in order to help add some member slots. I hope it worked.

It went through! Thank you very much! 🐹

CoShock is pretty useless now at least for clearing - gains 2% per shock on white mobs, but luckily it wasn't a huge part of my build; just something to fill the buff slot since I don't need mana regen.
Apparently supposed to gain 40% per shock on bosses or so, so maybe that will be a boost for me?

I didn't invest into it either way so I guess I'll leave it and see if it makes a difference on the rares+.

Is there anything else the Guild needs?

I have some coin. I don't understand half of this stuff but I'm willing to buy something if it will help. It's about all I can contribute to the Guild since I'm still in the first town, low level, and otherwise useless at the game ha.

literally on there right now haha

A thought though - If cast on freeze got nerfed hard, wouldn't the cast on shock have gotten nerfed too? In that case that means you just can't really use the skill gem the same way, and replacing that is free. You could still try cold sorc a different way and not have to spend gold.

Or if you just want to experiment too, that's cool.

Respec should be free while we all help test the game. Plus i have no idea what im doing.

If I had to guess, I'd say GGG is keeping the respec cost to what it is in order to monitor player behavior surrounding that. Otherwise, yeah it probably should be free for most other cases.

I am sorry for the dumb question, but...

I am lvl 4. I have some lvl 5 boots that I'm waiting to try, and a lvl 6 skill I'm waiting to try, and I can't find the XP screen to see where I'm at XP wise for my next level. Where is the XP screen?

yeah pretty sure cast on ...* got nerfed. soooooo idk, ill explore lightning or fire and see what i can roll with. gotta see what gear i have stored up too

  • We missed one! Cast on Critical Strike now also cares about the Damage of the hit when determining how much energy to gain to prevent the use of high-crit low level skills, this should mean using lower hit frequency skills that hit harder are also now much stronger for this.
