PCs bros Im coming back! So Help me...

I was thinking the other way... get the GPU now and in some years upgrade the CPU if needed.. CPUs here are usually a lot more cheaper than the GPUs... for some reason the price differential from the US is bigger on the GPU side.

I think that's a good plan. If you are playing games at 4k then you'll need more GPU than CPU.

Then get a 5090, I think you’ll be disappointed otherwise

lol....he doesn't need a 5090 my man.

Can't really help you since i dont know where you are based, it all depends on your budget, a lot of people here are based in the USA so hardware comes easy.

Im in Brazil bro.. just like you

I would like some tips on the motherboard since its the part I know less about it.

Then i can help you. The Real devalued an extra R$ 1,00 which means that building a PC will get harder sadly. The RTX 5070 Ti will be a pretty good card but it will likely come completely overpriced (reports are that it will be at least 1000USD here)

So i would go with something like:

GPU: RTX 5070/ 5070 Ti
PSU: Corsair RM1000X (At Least 1000W I would recommend either Corsair, MSI or Gigabyte, but you can probably play on a 850W PSU)
CPU: Ryzen 7700x / i5-14600KF
RAM: 2x16GB DDR5 Vegeance Pro 6800 mt/s/Kingston Fury 7600MT/s or equivalents.
Motherboard: Gigabyte X670 Aorus Elite AX (AMD) / Z790 Aorus Elite AX (Intel) or equivalents (Asus, Gigabyte)
Case: Corsair 4000d Airflow (Really depends on your taste, just make sure to pick one that has fans and fits your GPU since you are a begginer)
CPU Cooler: Any 240mm/360mm cooler that fits your case (Recommend Aorus or Corsair since they have the best builds), just avoid chinese brands.
SSD: At least 2 TB NVME of 3500 mb/s or higher (XPG, Samsung or Kingston)

Should be something around R$ 13,000 - R$ 19,000

I would recommend also getting a 1440p Monitor (IPS, 144hz or above, OLED is a pain to clean and expensive) since playing on some TVs on PC is not ideal. Will be able to play all current games on 60-120 FPS and above.

If you sell your PS5 Pro it should be something around R$ 13,000 - R$ 19,000

Thanks! But I think going for a 7000 cpu gives me am easier upgrade path in the future dont you think ?

Again, we are talking about relative leaps, and it’s not that massive of an upgrade

He wanted more than the PS5 Pro gave him. 5070 Ti will do that and then some.

Typo. He meant 7800x3d. But yeah, AM5 will be supported for a few years. Not sure about Intel. AMD is just the better value CPU regardless, imo.

7700x actually :p

Yes, the 7000 and X670 motherboards support the new Zen 5, which means you can upgrade to the 9800X3D if you ever wanted to.

5070 Ti and Ryzen 7770x will beat the PS5 Pro at anything.

As you don't care for RT you might as well wait for AMD to release 9070 XT before buying anything as that is likely to be a match for the 5070Ti in that regard and is significantly cheaper (rumor is sub $500 reference). With extra budget you can get a 9800X3D. Which should last you a long, long time.

Bizarre take but hear me out. Get a Thinkpad with a 4090 in it. I'm not even going to try and justify it but this is what I did and I'm super satisfied with the setup. I get the PC experience and I can take it with me anywhere/everywhere.

I would future proof the CPU to 9800x3D. Achieve this by pulling a little funding from the GPU. 4080 and 4080 Super are about to flood the secondary market when these 5xxx series drops. It's going to be very hard to beat that perf per dollar. FB marketplace is the way to go. You can discriminate against sellers based on neighborhood since you know the area, and you can catch a lot of screaming good deals on GPUs sold by guys who just want them gone. Skip eBay. It's too economized and if anyone actually posts one for a good price some merchant probably has a bot buying it.

Either way you go, maximize the CPU. It'll be worth every penny in 5 years when you're looking for extra frames. This way you can do an easy peasy GPU only upgrade. 3 minute job for a mid gen "Pro" refresh. Might not be as viable on a 9700!

Exactly what I was planning to do, but then pair with a new 5070ti or 4070ti super. Made the mistake to go light on my previous cpu which killed my upgrade path costing me much more now

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
I have a 4070 Super and can play all the games at 4K (DLSS Quality) at 60fps (no framegen), more often than not without RTX.

That might be enough but if I were you, I'd wait until mid February. By then there should be lots of benchmarks on the 5xxx series to help you make a better judgment on what to get.

In any case, welcome. :lollipop_content:

Worst advice ever as OP asked for a good value PC to plug on his TV. Gamer laptops have terrible price/performance value (and are more or less disposable as they'll fry themselves after a couple years)

Better get one of those unless you want your laptop self-combusting.

I have a laptop with a GTX 1060 and you could fry an egg on that thing while playing some Left 4 Dead 2.

Whatever you do, don’t buy a AMD GPU. DLSS alone is worth buying a Nvidia GPU.

if the price is right then I'll go with AMD. FSR 4 is looking like a big improvement.

Get some earplugs too. I had to return my 4080 laptop because it was so damn loud.

Do you do any workloads that are CUDA dependent? If yes, then go for the 5070Ti. If not and you just need a card for gaming, I would wait for reviews for the 9070XT and make a decision afterwards.

I would at least suggest a decent Tier A PSU with ample power, and motherboard (maybe look into B850?) for future upgradeability.

And I wouldn't count out 9070xt at this very moment - which is likely a step below 5070ti, but could be much cheaper.
Nvidia cards area of course much more popular, of course - but I would at least wait till the reviews comes out.

What’s your budget?

Maxing out at 60 and not going for ray tracing or super high graphics settings will give you a lot of options.

Don’t cheap out on the cooling. It sucks to end up with a loud build. Check the noise level dB on every part.

You don’t need a 50-series graphics card going by your opening post (no RT, no graphics whore) but personally I would still wait for the reviews before choosing a previous gen card. If the updated dlss and multi frame generation works as advertised and don’t add too much latency it could be a great solution to handle future games.

Disagree, the last thing you should do when it come to tech is buy just based on price because whatever you buy will not last long in most cases.

Nvidia is the market leader and they have exclusive features that you might want to use in the future. Things like DLSS4 will prolong gaming use of your PC especially if your buying a laptop which doesn't have an upgradable GPU.

FSR4 will not get the same support.

AMD = CPU only IMO

I didn't say I was buying just on price. I referenced FSR 4. Didn't say anything about buying a laptop. I'm in the market for a GPU and if I see AMD is a viable option with FSR at a better price the that's definitely on the table. I'm not going into this beholden to any one company.

basically any of the amd 3d vcache cpus
chonkiest nvidia gpu you can afford (shoot for 16gb+)

basically all you need
dont need high end psu, mobo, ram, ssd, etc (fun to buy that stuff though)

enjoy hdr+vrr+gsync on your oled

Theres no clear answer op, really depends on what you will be playing and such. Just get modern am5 build through pcpart picker, same for gpu all depends on your budget and lasting will be defined by what games you play, at what setting you are looking to play etc. Its all variable

Fine but just know it’s a different war over here…… Intel VS AMD…… AMD vs Nvidia…… ASUS vs gigabyte…… any combination of these parts decides who’s side you are on in the PC wars.

If you want to be on the winning side buy ASUS parts….. don’t be one of those MSi peasants.
