No idea. You brought up PC when we are talking about the benefits of the PRO's supposed boost mode enhancing PS4 games.

It'll be same than before, or same than XSX (which is great) if the game was locked at 30 it'll remain locked at 30.People aren’t paying enough attention to the PS5 Boost mode enhancing PS4 BC games.
This could be one of the best features of the console.
60fps Blooodborne and RDR2. Only $699.

Not necessarily. I'm wondering if it will improve DRS titles now too. Previously I assumed it may not as a title would be constrained by PS4 BC. But I'm hoping thats not the case now once Boost mode is enabled. We'll need to see. What they sounded very similar to PS4 Pro's boost mode. Need to see some examples. And it will need bespoke patches to actually benefit games with locked frame rates.

It's does, I expect the exact same games to be boosted on PS5 Pro with minor enhancements.A ps4 boost mode shouldve been a thing on the base ps5
Bloodborne is 30 FPS locked because of the engine not hardware.People aren’t paying enough attention to the PS5 Boost mode enhancing PS4 BC games.

Just think of whatever and toss some “Digital Foundry” or something like that on the title. Guaranteed 4 pages.how do I get in line to create the next PS5 Pro thread?
(Bloodborne didn't even get a PS4 Pro patch)
Louder for the people in the back please. The engine is hardcoded to run in 30 fps, the code can definitely be rewritten to aim for 60 fps, but including stronger hardware does nothing to address this. The extra power doesn't matter until the software is patched, and it never has been (officially). That said, I can see a future where ai upscaling and frame gen is enough to up-rez and make any game feel like a smooth 60 regardless of the input frame data, but we're just not there yet.Bloodborne is 30 FPS locked because of the engine not hardware.
You can have 3x RTX 5090s. It's not going to matter.
Chad Warden wipes hiz azz wit nine twenty Euros, bitches.I try to look at it, but there is a HUGE 920 EUROS sign in front of me.
How am I to play my PS4 games when there is no goddamn disc drive?

But they could easily have done that with the current PS5.Same way Xbox games locked at 30 got FPS boost.
Easy enough to do in fact it’s already been done. Just slap a similar hack to the code like ps5 homebrew did and enable some pssr for a cleaner 4k image and call it a day!PS5 Boost mode enhancing Blooodborne and RDR2 to 60fps

^^ This part, the game code needs to be updated with a patch, boost mode wont magically rewrite the code to push 60..The extra power doesn't matter until the software is patched, and it never has been (officially)..
Nope, they fixed the engine with DS2 release, every souls game since that has no problem reaching 60fps.
Blooborne just needs one os flag removed and it runs 60 on ps5
Sony can do it, but they won't most likely.
Bruh, if PS5 Pro could play PS3 games with improvements, I'd pay twice what Sony's asking.Just imagine those PS3 games too.

This type of thinking is exactly why this generation is the way it is.

Isn't bloodborne hard coded to run at 30 fps? How is that game going to benefit unless the devs change something?
Ps4 pro and ps5 did nothing to it.
Boost is a drug ? Wrote on Signal my dealer right nowThe difference appears to be the words "pro" and "boost". Pro typically means being a professional, and boost is some type of drug or something, idk.

You guys will be simping for scraps at any mention of this, eh?People aren’t paying enough attention to the PS5 Boost mode enhancing PS4 BC games.

I know DF says that but when you play it the game doesn't look bad at all, compared to the One X? it's not as good but it doesn't look bad.Not if the framerates are still locked. RDR2 also has bad IQ on PS4 pro.
So can anyone explain to me what about this PS5 Pro boost mode makes it any different than regular PS5 running PS4/PS4 Pro games?
Enhancements to my current library is my main reason to purchase Pro.
Again, nothing has been stated by Sony clearly, but it appears, according to the CNET write up, that all new games must offer a Pro mode, which COULD mean 4k/60fps, but it could ALSO mean 4k/30fps with high quality ray tracing or some other such visual upgrades or even 1440p/60fps.Don't wanna make a sperate thread. Cerny said during the presentation that one of the objectives of the Pro was that players wouldn't have to choose between the Quality and Performance modes anymore. The Pro does Quality settings at 60fps. Does that mean we're not getting a super high-quality 30fps mode on the Pro?
