They mention that they'll fix the audio (min. Setting) so that means that they're listening but, wouldn't it be funny if they also fixed the stutter due to the Hz mismatch ?
It's not like they'd actually acknowledge it so that would be a plus, and hey, it would only have taken them 1 YEAR !

As for the cloud streaming, we all.knew it was coming, shame that you need to be on the higher tier for it...

Would be good if they allowed streaming off any PS3 games in your digital library.

This is probably why they have started to add a few more PS3 faves like Resistance FoM and Resistance 2.

I actually had a great experience the few times I’ve tried PS5 game streaming on the actual PS5. By far the best experience I’ve had with streaming alongside GeForce Now though from my memory the PS+ streaming looked better but it’s been awhile since I used GFN.

Unfortunately my experience with the portal hasn’t been stellar for anything besides some turn based games.

It's the other way around, Portal screen is 60Hz, but PS5 output is 59.94

This update will also include a beta version of a new feature that many fans have been asking for – support for cloud streaming on PS Portal. When the update is live, PlayStation Plus Premium members will be able to participate in a beta for cloud streaming on PS Portal, allowing select PS5 games in the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog* to be streamed directly from our servers, even without a PS5 console.

Wondering if they want to force people to buy some type of their hardware at the very least. This will also limit the amount of users who are hitting the servers during the testing instead of having anyone with the app able to use it.

I mean, the Portal has been out for 1 year now and they would have fixed it if they could.
Something tells me that it's unfixable and it's a hardware thing (ie, it's the shitty LCD screen), THEN AGAIN, on Chiaki AND Psplay for example there's an option for this specific problem which - you guessed it - fixes the stutter.
Also : the Hz mismatch stutter is non existent on devices that have a > 60Hz refresh rate screen.

Which brings me to :
If some 3rd party devs can properly code things from their friggin' basement as to prevent this problem why and HOW hasn't Sony been able to do the same ? It's been a friggin' year ffs and many users (me included) have already sold their portal because of this.

Anyway, they listened regarding the minimum volume output level so MAYBE the next Portal FW update will also fix the stutter - one would hope at the very least that is.

I used mine out of state to play Dragon Quest 3 HD in my hotel room. It worked surprisingly well.

I can't imagine gaming without PS Portal or a hybrid like Switch.

Man, I still remember the subreddit for the portal, everytime someone mentioned the (very real and existent) stutter all the usual suspects would go :
- It's your router
- It's your McDonald's internet
- sucks for you, I don't have any problems whatsoever


Not noticing it would be equal to not perceiving framerate drops.in games, OLED judder in films (and 30fps games), UE shader compilation stutters etc etc...

Not a dig towards you brother but for me and many others the problem was so big that we had to sell our console, but the worst thing ? is/was being called "crazy" and/or hyperbolic by those that couldn't see it.
