It actually did, it's just that the feature got discontinued very fast (by August 2017).Oh man, the PS Vita would've been so good had it been able to stream PS3 games out of the PS Now catalogue back in the day...
Lol. Damn Topher , don’t let him see how many posts you got.
This is really the main benefit to me. Cloud through servers or my own ps5 doesn’t really matter to me. Being able to use the portal and my ps5 though is pretty valuable to me.Another benefit people haven't discussed is that you could use it at home while someone is playing the PS5 (not the same account).
so, streaming IS a part of the future?
Other than not having back buttons it's really a good experience. Ive been using it to play some side quests in Stellar Blade and it's not a struggle with timing or parrycould be useful for slower paced games like silent hill and rpgs etc, playing Spider-Man 2 or any action game via streaming just feels off.
Man, I still remember the subreddit for the portal, everytime someone mentioned the (very real and existent) stutter all the usual suspects would go :
- It's your router
- It's your McDonald's internet
- sucks for you, I don't have any problems whatsoever
Not noticing it would be equal to not perceiving framerate drops.in games, OLED judder in films (and 30fps games), UE shader compilation stutters etc etc...
Not a dig towards you brother but for me and many others the problem was so big that we had to sell our console, but the worst thing ? is/was being called "crazy" and/or hyperbolic by those that couldn't see it.
Consider yourself lucky

Eh, I beg to differ.could be useful for slower paced games like silent hill and rpgs etc, playing Spider-Man 2 or any action game via streaming just feels off.
So, do the games running through Cloud Streaming run at PS5 Pro quality?
Yeah, figured as much.No. Doubt they'll make any PS5 Pro blades. Doesn't make sense to do so.
It is real. That's why I returned mine
All the time, periodically. Because of difference in refresh rates at some point frames aren't properly aligned and it stutters. For the people who see it does it happen all the time or is something that happens randomly or under different lighting conditions & so on.

The stutter is noticeable, the question is whether or not it bothers you.For the people who see it does it happen all the time or is something that happens randomly or under different lighting conditions & so on.
Huh, never got to know about that feature, since I only got mine a few years ago.It actually did, it's just that the feature got discontinued very fast (by August 2017).
I've seen others say it's been fixed aswell. I can't confirm as I never noticed it.Just streamed dying light 2 from the cloud. I'm also working so I don't have enough time, but I could not reproduce the usual portal stuttering in the 3 minutes I tried. Take this with a grain of salt as more testing is required. For the record, the stuttering has always been very obvious to me.

This would mean that if true, it should be possible for Sony to solve the stutter through RP, right?I've seen others say it's been fixed aswell. I can't confirm as I never noticed it.
Several people on reeee also saying that stutters are fixed on regular remote play, so there is a hope. This would mean that if true, it should be possible for Sony to solve the stutter through RP, right?
Or am I missing something?
Oh really? I didn't notice it yesterday? When did the update go out?Several people on reeee also saying that stutters are fixed on regular remote play, so there is a hope.
Seems like a few hours ago.Oh really? I didn't notice it yesterday? When did the update go out?
That thread on reddit, that I linked above, is about regular RP.Sorry i don't understand, you mean they fixed the stutter for local play from our consoles also, or for server play only?
Sony about to make me buy this piece of junk while making me upgrade to PS Plus Premium ain't it...sounds like a game changer.
