Hey R6Rider R6Rider , what do you think about adding a pool consisting of the users most anticipated titles? Some suggestions would be Wanderer, Alien, Behemoth, Metro, Arizona Sunshine Remake, Exocars and The Midnight Walk. Perhaps a pool just for a week, what do you all think?
Do you mean for the main/first post? Or maybe you mean something else..my mind is a mess today :messenger_grinning_sweat:

I voted for EXOcars because there aren’t enough racing games for PSVR2. And it reminds me of the original Motorstorm, which I loved. Man, I’d love it if one of the Motorstorm games was released in VR - preferably the first one.
EXOcars is absolutely on my radar precisely because of the MotorStorm feel. Btw, it always saddens me when I remember Song closed the studio and shelved the ip (oh ffs, Sony!).

For Halloween, my wife makes me play vr horror games. :lollipop_confounded:

I never liked horror games because they weren't scary. Now in vr, I don't like them cuz they're too scary.
I suggest AS2 if you're going to get either. The two games are essentially the same but AS2 has the dog and he's a great AI companion. Game has a good script too. It doesn't matter if you play them out of order.

Ah, thanks for the tip. I have a habit of defaulting to the first game in a series even though we all know that half the time sequels are basically improved versions of the previous game.

I’m finding Ancient Dungeon really cool. I suck though… really wish they’d let you use the sword in the off-hand.
I tried the demo on PC a long time ago and from memory it was surprisingly hard or maybe the combat was off. Is there a PSVR2 demo?

You remind me I bought the game but almost never played it :d
Yeah, it took me a while to get around to it.

I don’t know if there’s a demo, kind of an impulse buy from me. I find it pretty difficult until you get some upgrades / powers. I struggle in VR games where I have to swing (or do anything with) the controller while simultaneously trying to use the tiny analogs. I do kind of wish it was a more traditional Zelda-type experience, as opposed to the rouguelike, but still a neat game. I’m not a huge fan of retro looking games, generally, but it’s pretty cool in VR.

Any recommendations for controller straps? I was looking on Amazon for something similar I picked up for the Quest, but don’t really see anything. I’m referring to the straps that keep the controller tight in your hand without having to always be gripping it. Really got used to those on Quest, and definitely missing them here.

Was browsing the store and saw that Arizona Sunshine Remake was a cheap upgrade, so I bought it.

Anyone played it? Is it a big upgrade over the original?

so eyeing this now that i have a pro on order. I have historically been using Quest Pro for VR. Anyone have any experience that can compare the two devices (Quest Pro/Quest 3 v. PSVR2) and what are your overall take on PSVR 2? Worth the investment

PSVR2 is more immersive - better colors and better graphics. The only things I don't prefer it for really are fast moving motion games (like synth riders - looks better on Quest 3), and fitness type games (no wires and lighter on Quest 3), and non-gaming uses (like media playback/desktop use - so much clearer). That said, there's quite a few Quest exclusives / and Quest games that use VR+AR that are neat too.

Oh and games that make you focus outside of the center are the worst too. I don't like Walkabout MiniGolf on PSVR2 because it's so much better due to the clarity of the pancake lens on the Quest 3, that lining up your shots is way better than on PSVR2.

PSVR2 is a no brainer if you're getting the pro and the exclusives look good to you. Quest 3/PSVR2 definitely have big tradeoff advantages switching back and forth but if you're really wanting a pro there's no reason to even consider anything else but PSVR2.

You do miss out on the Quest stuff, which once and while ends up being pretty sweet. Batman is being compared to Alyx and getting solid 9s and 10s. And stuff like Triangle Strategy, a VR port of a SRPG which is almost unheard of in VR looks pretty sweet too. Better to have both IMO!
