Bless you.My Headbutt Tree index tool is now hosted on a webserver: Link
I also added encounter preview for improved user friendliness.
Use it to find out which trees contain the rare encounters for your Trained ID.
Please let me know if you encounter any issues.
Odd. I didn't have this much trouble in Su/Mo or even in R/B/Y.I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary myself. :O
I've been using SLP a lot with the occasional PAR. Still feels really difficult. If you're using Paralysis to improve your odds, stop it. PAR BRN and PSN do not increase the catch rate, and SLP and FRZ only increase it by a flat 4%.
Good god, this. HahahaSeriously was it always this hard to capture Pokémon???
The odds in RBY are crazy good. When you SLP a pokemon and throw an Ultra Ball, you have AT MINIMUM, a 17% chance to catch it. It doesn't matter if you're fighting Mewtwo at full health, just status it and chuck balls at it.Odd. I didn't have this much trouble in Su/Mo or even in R/B/Y.

Yeah see I'm not playing this cat and mouse game again with the 3 Dogs I'm just going to clone the Master Ball and throw it at them as soon as I see them and just an FYI to anyone planning to transfer your Pokemon from Pokemon Silver to the PokeBank it doesn't matter what Pokeball you used it gets converted to Pokeball automatically once you transfer to PokeBank.Dear god, why did they give the beasts roar? I've got Suicune all whittled down but he keeps roaring away after a mean look.
Luckily from hunting so hard I also ran into Raikou but jesus this is rough.
Good god, this. Hahaha
This has got to be the most difficult catch rates of any Pokemon game to date. I'm wondering how tf I'm going to catch legendaries.
Ive had zero trouble catching anything and I never thought it was tough back then either. Im not trying to sound elitist - I just dont know why it could be so tough for you!

Took me 15 pokeballs to catch a common aipom. Always broke out in third roll. I got crap luck.

After getting surf I tried to see if you can get to Kanto early, and you totally can. Can't go very far but its mind blowing to me that you can discover that by accident way earlier than most people actually would. I thought for sure there would be some kind of block to prevent players from discovering that twist, but nope. Such a cool game.

This. Wasted like 15 Great Balls trying to catch Magmar. Lots and lots of "normal" Pokemon have been breaking out even in the red.
So I started shiny breeding (using the Ditto "glitch" method). Hatching is a SLOG in these games. Never did it when I was a kid, but not having at least abilities to halve the number of steps is making this sad. Can't beat those shiny odds, though.

Got Silver. I have a long bus ride tomorrow, this game will keep me company.
Some questions:
-Tyrogue is available only after you get Waterfall right?
-Is it still safe to clone items/mons?
-where to catch chincou?
Thanks!-Yes
-I wouldn't know, if it's like R,B,G,&Y it should be, but wait for someone else on that.
-I always got mine in New Bark with the good rod, there's other locations here:

In the mean time I'm going to be resetting for one of these guys:

Assuming it works? I could never find out whether DV's were fixed for these kinds of pokemon in Gen 2. I know it's an absurdly low chance but I'm sick and mostly watching tv so this gives me something to do with my hands on the side.
Old game corner really sucks.

What the fuck is this true? That's fucking terrible. No sending up Pokémon in cool Kurt Balls then?
The game didn't track balls until Gen 3
How important or how needed is Rock Smash for the entirety of the game? I'm at Burned Tower and I want to progress but I don't know if I should teach it to one of my Pokémon that will stay in the party for the entire game or to the two (maybe three) Pokémon that may get replaced.
The three are Jigglypuff, Togepi, and Flaaffy. At least one for sure is getting replaced by Ho-Oh in the future.

Best HM slaves? Which two Pokémon can cover all the HMs plus the other overworld moves like Dig? Or would I need three slaves to cover all the moves?
I realize some of the moves aren't really needed but I would like to have them really just because lol.
It's not. I think there are a few items hidden behind rock smash in Mt. Mortar and Rock Tunnel and that's it. You also need it if you want to catch Shuckle.

I'm not sure if will fly in Pokemon Bank, but you can use another glitch to easily make any Pokemon shiny.

I used my Return TM sadly but Sunday, I'm going to get another one (two with cloning!) to test this out. ChickasaurusGL's YouTube channel is a goldmine for Pokemon glitches.
