Just saw an interesting article that projects the video game industry will gross more revenue than Movies and Sports combined in 2020. I'm not casting doubt on the report, but did anyone really expect this kind of news? Maybe it was foreseeable in the age of Covid, but I still found it a little surprising. And even a little refreshing. Don't need to feel as bad about impulse buys (that land in backlog) knowing that everyone else is doing it too.

Completely agree, but I still find this fascinating even for just a year.

Interesting. It's impressive, although as noted, film and sports are both down this year. The guy they quote expects it to continue through 2021.
