PS5 Digital/Pro 30th Anniversary Editions release this week

My delivery date went from sometime today to tomorrow 3:30-5:30 PM, then to tomorrow 9:00 - 11:00 AM, then back to tomorrow 3:30-5:30 PM. Guess who has to be someplace at 3:30 PM? 👉 this guy 👈. I paid UPS, yes had to pay to change the time, to move me back to the 9:00-11:00 AM window. I was looking for an option to have it held at the warehouse but I did not see that anywhere on the UPS site. Now I can only hope they deliver in my now premium delivery window or at least before 3:30.

This is why I have UPS hold big important packages at the nearest distribution center and go get it myself from there when I'm good and ready

Just call them if you want this done IIRC it's been awhile since I've gotten a big important package

Same delay here. Better to have daylight delivery of the precious.

Mine's 30 miles away in a delivery depot waiting to be slung into the back of a van. Couldn't resist watching a bit of the unboxing above. My lad insists I'm not allowed to open it until he's home from school so he can film it for his youtube but damn, tempted after seeing that.

I did the same for similar reasons - I'd never have even opened it, it's not truly limited or numbered like the Pro so any increase in value would be fairly trivial in comparison, and given I'd have to really look after it and keep the box ultra pristine... nah - seemed better to let someone else have a chance at it.

I've got other special edition consoles and at this point they're just a PITA to manage, I really cannot be bothered. My 30th Pro is just getting used like any other console, replacing the day 1 ps5 same as my ps4 pro replaced the day 1 ps4. But it's going to look fucking glorious, obvs.

I'll never understand the drive for Sony to give their product for free to mindless influencers who don't really care and won't even touch it after taking the mandatory picture with it for social medias, when loyal customers have to wait for hours in queue without even being sure they'll be able to get one...

You're right, if there's one mindless influencer that will definitely use his gifted ps5pro it's kojima (or kojibranque as i like to call him), i'll go as far as saying he might even develop some games on it !

edit- to be fair, I brought the UPS drama on myself by checking the tracking too often. :)

I got in to PlayStation Direct, added the 30th anniversary dual sense to my cart, went through checkout, entered my credit card information, clicked review order and it sold out as I was checking out 😑

I was in and out all morning, I lucked out in that I got a shorter queue on Firefox but on Safari I was in at 11:30am only to have it time out and kick me back to the queue with an hour wait

it’s really poorly managed, basically it’s a matter of luck on WHEN you got put in the queue

Yup. I was signed in last night and something got messed up, because I wasn't even able to load the page earlier this morning until they told me I was previously queued and it expired at 7am. So now I'm back in an hour long queue with probably zero chance of success.

Curious though. It didn't officially go live until noon today. What would waiting last night do if you get kicked out of the website every so often? Or am I missing something?

I got 2 of my 4 controllers today (1 regular and 1 edge) and oh boy do they look even better in person.

Edge will probably still get returned but it does look really nice. I prefer the look of the standard controller though as I think the Trackpad being darker then anything else and the trim being glossy detracts from it overall.

How many controllers did the Pro 30th bundle have. I bought an extra controller so opened it and I'm keeping the Pro controller unopened in storage. But I couldn't remember if it came with a regular Dualsense also. It's up in the actic now so don't want to go back up 😂

I was going to use the regular one from the box but might aswell just leave it in pristine condition now that I bought an additional one anyway. Also have an astro bot and crimson red so 3 is plenty.

What number did you get? If you don't want to say exactly just give me a number close to it.

Anyone else have a number to share?
