PS5 Pro reviews

The resolution bump isn’t minor. It is going from 1440p to 4K and even crisper than native.

For someone with a 65” TV that makes a big difference

The bump to 60 fps on ps4 pro was extremely rare. Most of the time it was 30fps with more resolution. PS5 Pro has some cases like this too with DD2

???? Not to me

Disagree, it was a lot blurrier before and had an unstable Framerate

Now it is razor sharp and butter smooth. This is big for an action game

If you don’t see the difference you probably sit too far away from your TV

If i tell you that I sit about 1,5 meters from my 55inch...next up is gonna be the "visit an opthalmologist" right ? 😁

Listen, there are gains, it's just that IMO, they're not proportionate to the console's price (so far at least), from everything that I've seen and played, it's not worth double the price of a slim.

We'll have to agree to disagree I guess man , it's OK

Cheers

So I finally finished my first playstation game on the PS5 Pro and it was Kyoei Toshi (City Shrouded in Shadows). Reading how terrible the framerate was on PS4, I at least feel lucky I got to experience it at a stable 60fps.

I'm not going to say you need to see someone for your vision, but some people may be more sensitive to changes in resolution.

Looking at something like TLOU, Horizon, Stellar Blade, etc....the detail in the distance is significantly more hazy than the PS5 Pro equivalents. Having a native, crisp 4K image is always pretty apparent to me versus 1440p. For others, they may not care. It's more transformative than PS4 Pro, which also had a resolution bump only for the vast majority of games.

As for the price, it costs a few hundred dollars after trading in your PS5 console. Spread $400 over 4 years, that's $100/year. Is that worth it until the PS6 comes out to experience the best way to play them on console? For me, absolutely.

Same impression , games are more clear /cleaner in general ...and there are other differences but depends of each developer.

I AM happy with the Pro Even with current games but My Bet is that PRO Will be great for Sony's 2025-2027 games before PS6 appears.
