That's a new part of the narrative that is cropping up. It also happened with Bezos getting divorced - lot's of similar statements like "get paid girl". As if she was somehow deprived of her just rewards beforehand, and the new influx of money is justice. Very strange.
I'm not sure they will, unless rational people can displace (or, better yet, functionally neuter) HR/PR departments in a lot of big corporations. Those are incredibly low-skill jobs, and these sorts flock to them and fill them up, which is having devastating effects on other areas of the company because they control the corporate cultures.
I hadnt realised how little regard the world pays to resetera types, but im beginning to. No one gives a shit what super liberals have to say, they really dont. Capitalists run the world..they make things, build things, run businesses, that's how the world ticks over. Liberals all sit around in a metaphorical field, deciding what to be offended by, and what oppressed mass (who didnt ask for) their attention, will receive it.
I mean, imagine asking a bunch of reseteras to build a bridge. They'd sit around deciding on a name for a year, then another 2 years deciding what colour is the most inclusive and tolerant (answer: all of them, a big rainbow bridge at 10x the cost of a single colour), they'd spend another 4 sourcing ethnically unharmful to mother earth materials, and a volounteer, not oppressed, vegan workforce who can only do 2 hours a day, because they're permanently exhausted, and the elephants they hired to pull wagons have all died of tofu poisoning.
After about 10 years they'd end up with half a bridge made of hemp, that's burned down 3 times during construction, who's name has changed 6 times after each historical figure picked was since discovered to have said something vaguely racist centuries ago, the volounteer workforce of trans female to male workers are refusing to wear hard hats, as they reinforce gender stereotypes, and their fake stubble keeps washing off if they have to lift something and break sweat. The only thing even vaguely nearing completion is the knitted gender neutral rainbow unicorn statue made for the opening ceremony, but it was stolen by a black trans woman in a wheelchair, and no one is touching that situation with a bargepole.
