I got banned because of the Cristiano Ronaldo case, the one with allegations of rape.

Just because I told the girl was no saint either, and until proven wrong Ronaldo was not 100% guilty for me.

Guess what? Perma ban for downplaying females and sexual abuse. Seriously, wtf?

I even e-mail the admins later on, saying that they should be more open to others opinions and since the case was inconclusive so far, they should lift my ban, since Im not wrong either.

What did a get? A manhunt. Each account that I try to create is instantly perma banned.

That place may be a huge community, but has a scale of SJW and female activists that its of the charts.

NeoNeoGAF is growing at a slow pace now. The specialized communities are dead right now, but there is no reason you couldn't promote things that you like here. You don't have to worry about walking on eggshells, and not posting because there is not as much traffic as there used to be is just self-defeating if you want a place to post.

This isn't necessarily true, unfortunately. These sorts are getting into the aforementioned HR/PR positions in companies and slowly *coughprogressivelycough* steering the company their way. Those positions control who is hired and fired. They control the public face of the company, which the executives place a lot of stock in. They have quite a bit of power.

I work in a reasonably large company with no HR department. I can honestly say it's a game changer. HR departments are the corporate embodiment of female social bullying. Fuck that shit.

I have not spent that much time with the case, but I have never heard she either brought someone to the Nintendo office or forced her husband to have sex with someone. I only know about her escort service job and pornographic pictures. Considering the person who linked me this information was pretty adamant about complaining about the NeoGAF posters protecting her at the time, I think he would have told me if either of those allegations you brought forth were true.

If true that kind of behaviour should get you sacked and get you jail time.

Hell for Jacob.Armitage it probably is.

But there are some truly bleak souls in that Mental Health thread. TBH, i really get a sense of sadness to see some users (particularly two) only contributions be their desire to kill themselves in various word variants.

There is a sense of sad irony that ERA houses such folk, and at the same time is prepared to endlessly discuss the nitpickings of marginalized minorities when the opportunity arises.

What's grooming? Have seen this term but i do not know its specifics.

I do recognize that the kind of advice given is always the same. I also find it endlessly entertaining how Ketkat is held to such high regard in terms of that topic, only to squander it as soon as minority debate is involved. But i am glad she found purpose considering she was dabbling with thoughts aswell.

Albeit i don't think its healthy to constantly surround yourself with depressed individuals like that and taking on the god-awful task of trying to listen to each and everyone of them. Due to shared history she can relate, but its also exactly because of shared history she and others are also putting their own stability at risk.

I dunno, the concept is a good one, but what you see now is that some users literally get by on their advice like they are professionals. And they aren't.

It's an unfortunate fact of human nature that people tend to gravitate away from the depressed, because they tend to spread the misery, it's why helping them is best left to professionals able to maintain distance while actually resolving the issue at hand. Concentrate them in a group and you have an eventual suicide pact.

You should check out the Mental Health thread for more people like that, specifically, Stan.Marsh and Yagujubei (Don't know the specific name).

Pretty much every post is a ''I am miserable and i want to die'' post, and despite people offering advice, that's the same answer they are getting. I can imagine that this can be really grating on people. They actually need to put those thoughts in a spoiler, too.

I don't throw them on an ignore list, but like the Gender Studies guy, i don't think essentially re-posting the same depressive ''Life is pain'' shtick over and over helps anyone. If you don't want to get any help and think all is lost, why keep on telling others how fucked your life is day in day out? Get help then instead of moping like that.

Hah, i thought this was Psychocrasha but it hitted me, that was the guy who sent his kids up state to his grandparents, being in debt but still having multiple cars and the wife working for him a few hours a day for no income. And then a month later claims he is going on a trip to China.

Had an amazing PM with this guy, eventually he got ERA banned because it really was too much r/thathappened. Did his username proud.

Could also be a great GAF thread for the history books as it read like a typical GAF thread from back in the day.
