Not. People have learned absolutely nothing out of the PS5 tech deep dive and the exodus of 95 % of proclaimed insiders. They just created new accounts and continue with their shit. Case in point an "insider" that has joined Era one and a half months ago. It's the exact same modus operandi as with 12 TF PS5, somebody says it, then a bunch of retards jump on the train and pretend to now something as well.
Yeah, that KatharsisT dude seems especially suspicious after what he said about Death Stranding and its supposedly troubled development

I've been keeping an eye on this rumor for a couple weeks now, the guy has been vetted apparently on Era (don't know how much of a boost that gives to his credibility) but he's been a little flip floppy on its release now he's said it could be June instead he also gave some info on Death Stranding development which didn't add up since there was lingering evidence all over the place that his statement is BS.

Too bad there will be no E3 this year, I remember that I was amazed when the E3 trailer for Silent Hill 2 was shown, it blew my mind! I would hope to see a trailer that good for PS5, i do not care for remasters, but remakes and reboots are most welcomed.

I mean.....if anything, how many times has any major AAA title been announced randomly to a reporter based on confirming or denying some leak of something? We'd know when everything was coming out if that was the case.

So to lay the detaila of this put straight:
-It is developed by Sony Japan Studios & will be PS5 exclusive.
-Toyama is directing,
-Akira Yaomoka is composing, Masahiro Ito is doing art, various Siren/Gravity Rush devs & some others working on it.
-This has nothing to do with Kojima or Silent Hills, that probably is not happening.
-Sony is NOT buying IPs, that's bullshit.
-The game is NOT a remake, it is a soft reboot, made so it can be someone's first SH game.
-The game is playable & has a demo that will be shown around after reveal.
-The details of this are not murky, there should be no miscommunication.

I'd be down for a reboot. I've never played the Silent Hill series before, and I'm not too interested in going back to the really old titles. I can only imagine how good these titles are going to look on PS5.

At this point i kind of wish sony would just do the reveal of stuff, I have no problem waiting for whatever they have planned to show/talk about, but it sucks waiting until the 11th hour then having a major leak after waiting so long. I think after this week im respectfully staying out of some of these threads theres just too much smoke going into the air now for it not to be a fire.

Play Silent Hill 2 however you can. It is a masterpiece and I have zero faith in any modern developer doing it justice in a remake or a remaster. As evidenced by the remaster they already fucked up.

There are a lot of skeptics with him but he's also been right about a bunch of things (which isn't really to his credit since he does come off as vague).
I need someone to chime in who's actually been following/keeping track of the dude, but I have noticed him getting a bunch of RE7, RE2, and RE3 details right. For that reason, I don't dismiss his claims, but I do take it all with a huge grain of salt. If this Silent Hill is being developed by Sony as a PS exclusive, that will go a long way towards him winning my support in the future.
I'm also watching his RE8 claims.

Other than trust, those haven't really been themes in RE (we've had insane characters but that was usually just a character quirk; I'm also assuming the hallucinations and insanity are meant to apply to the protagonist). He also claims Chris is returning this game and that he's completely redesigned. We'll see.
You don't need to play any other in the series to get SH2. He's right there. No remake will ever properly translate that game. The themes, symbolism, story, and atmosphere were all expertly crafted. That's the game that made me fall in love with the genre, and it is IMO the best horror game ever made.

Starting to notice quite a pattern. How they grabbed some nobodies to develop a game with a game mechanic so similar to Silent Hill wasn't a coincidence I'm sure.

The remaster was due to lost code. It would have been so much better, but they did not have access to the source code and had to make due. The community patched it well on the PC last I heard.
