Can anyone already playing comment on the seemingly Silisto Hillocol combat? I mean it looks straight up like a Callisto reskin in some of these melee videos. Plz tell me it doesn’t feel anything like it. That removed all tension since I knew I could whoop any number of enemies with my Mayweather-esque feinting ability.

Pyramid Head is with two mannequins forcing "something" on them, then they dies. Also, James gets desperate, goes to the closet and shoots the hell of Pyramid Head, then he leaves. Strong, confusing at first, and very effective. This original scene is as close for a rape than a Diddy party has baby oil on people.
The new game a manequim is throw, James kinda sees it, but of course the scene has a different shot and last only two seconds - you can even hear the mannequin in pain thou. James then goes sneaky to the closet and have three shots at Pyramid Head, which he just stands a little and then leaves. Confusing with no instance of resolution, and overall boring

In another post though, Ito stated it was still supposed to have sexual undertones. Sexual undertones with forceful manhandling, even if not rape, still seems kind of SA-ish to me.

Ito debunked the rape theme years ago.
The whole point was to look like something sexual is happening, but it is not. Pyramid Head is trying to erase the mannequins from James’ subconscious, but he refuses to let go, shooting at him in the process and prolonging his denials of things he’s done (I won’t spoil that for the newcomers).
So, it’s never been a “rape scene”, rather an expression of violence and the symbol of guilt trying to erase his desires. This is a years old discussion that I remember waaaaaaay back when.

Your joke response is an extremely common serious response from a certain group of people who can't stand feminine looking women so they try to paint others as some kind of perverts, while they themselves come off as having no nuance between porn and depictions of normal looking women. Every women in the game is cisgender, if you are worried about it.
Angela looks is based on her actress, who is also a cisgender woman.
Both Angela and Maria are based on women that exist in this real world. And both are "normal", as far as I know ("ugly", "not feminine" cisgender women also exist ou there, btw)
Dunno how important these points are in order to enjoy a survivor horror game, but here we are.
Funny how people never complain about ugly male characters. But sure, its not at all about sexual purposes. What do I know.

I thought it was hilarious that he mentioned Homecoming.
All I can say is that those voice clips confirmed my fears with the vocal direction. Luke Roberts was great in Outcast: A New Beginning, I don't fault the voice actors, just the direction. I'm glad I opted for Japanese voices.

The issue was that some people here declared that the more beautiful version of the Angela character was somehow worse because she was too feminine and good looking and that only horny people would want that mod. But I might have misunderstood.

Come on now. The combat is fun/satisfying but James is a frigging machine. Fighting multiple enemies at once is simple. The dodge is responsive as hell. When I take damage it's my own fault because I get too aggressive.

I believe it's more so because people attempted to make a stink regarding how she looks in the first place when she is literally modeled after the VA. People can do whatever they want to their games with mods, it's their right, always has been. But I personally think the real "issue" is that there are people that think she is some grotesque looking figure that doesn't even resemble a woman when she is in fact modeled by an actual person and woman. It's pretty messed up.
