Don't get me wrong, I may try it on gamepass, I've always been a little partial to this game. But damn.When high 70s is considered low we really are at the end times.
Im guessing these are the same people who also complain that there are no games to play.

If people dont care about meta/open scores because they are inflated, why do they use meta/open scores as a metric?
Mid would be a ~5 out of 10 game.
This game most certainly isnt that unless you legit think this game is in the same class as like Babylons Fall or Snow Day?

I'm glad the game turned out to be okay. I really like the Deep South setting, and I'll definitely pick it up later on (although probably only at a discount). We need more games to succeed not more games that fail. Variety is queen (or king).

I just read a Czech review (you know, a country not infested by leftist insanity too much, yet) and they write this about the story:
The game is divided into fourteen chapters and more or less repeats the same loop several times: while following the trail of the lost mother, you will reach a new area ruled by a giant monster. To defeat it, you must use the unexpectedly awakening magical abilities of your heroine, who, to her own surprise, is a so-called Weaver, able to see and touch the threads of reality and magically connect the broken bonds of souls. Every monster in this world has suffered some trauma that has turned it into a monster ("hurt people hurt people"), so by revealing their past and healing the pain, you will save or defeat them. In addition to revealing your own abilities, you will also discover the secret history of this country and your own family, and the daughter protagonist will finally appreciate how difficult and rewarding her mother's work as a social worker was.
This is very clearly one of the games in which the consulting firm Sweet Baby participated and, according to the closing credits, practically its entire team was put on it. This is probably the main reason why the game's story seems more like a series of educational lessons about various forms of discrimination and cultural heritage than a natural human story. However, the predictable and oversimplified story is saved in places by absolutely amazing music, dominated by both sweeping orchestral passages and sung songs, also focused on the characters or the story of the game in terms of lyrics. Not all of these compositions and songs are equally strong, but the best of them really manage to grab your heart and are worth listening to on their own. It's just a big shame that they don't have subtitles in the game.

Because at the end of the day, if you enjoy a game, everybody's else opinion should be irrelevant.
Arma Reforger is mediocre as well, but I think it's awesome regardless.
It's okay to acknowledge, yet still enjoy mediocrity.

Nah. A mid game is a 7. Performance is okay, no crashes, but nothing spectacular gameplay or story-wise.
A 5 would be a game that barely works in the first place, frequent bugs, performance issues and has meh/terrible gameplay/story.

The main character design really isn't very flattering. And the voice actress doesn't gel very well with the design. Western devs constantly fumble character designs.
