Given the game needs online to install, has any game 'journalist' :messenger_tears_of_joy: asked the question: Will this still install when Ubisoft no longer have access to the SW license in years to come?

I can still install the Activision Marvel games I own and the Transformers games.

Are any of them as old as the Out Run 2 expired Ferrari license problem? What was it about 7years before their were issues?

Without taking the decision away from Ubisoft and the game being a physical product on the disc without an account or online requirement, I don't trust the company that was one of the first in to promote using blockchain gaming assets to not want their cake of a sale and to eat themselves by transforming it into a time limited rental down the line.

Pretty much the same. I'd probably be more enthusiastic about playing if the main character wasn't so poorly designed, but I do enjoy a mindless romp through Ubisoft open worlds from time to time.
I think the main character's visual issues are even partly consistency. Comparing the cover image of her in the Ultimate image and all the others and you might be confused to think they've been prepared to make her look less manly on your console menu if you go for the uber expensive edition :)

You can still install Out Run 2 if you own it.
Until you can't when the servers are removed, and then it is gone. It isn't like still being able to play old games with expired licenses just because you own the disc, and it doesn't need online. Someday in the next two decades even my day one copy of HL2 on gold standard Steam will be gone because it was always a rental with this crappy internet requirement.

Servers? As in Steam? I don't think you'll live to see Steam shut down.

I was meaning Xbox servers shutting down for the 360 at that part. Valve will get sold and then all bets are off based on the small print of the rental was the assertion about HL2.

You can still download the 360 games and DLC you own even with the store gone.

At this point you're just trolling this thread with unrelated FUD about digital games.

You cannot do this with your Wii digital games, as they shut down the hosting servers. The Wii was released a year after the 360. Nintendo can only offer a "for the foreseeable future" in response to whether 3DS and Wii U games will continue to be downloadable.

Someday, the 360 hosting servers will disappear. As will PS3 and PSP. It's only a matter of time.

Reviews are going to be embezlled for sure, it will clearly be a good game but just like previous Ubi games, a bloated open world game that you can easily get bored.

My predictions is 8/10

Story driven games have been doing this for the last couple of years. Reviewers got review codes more than a week ago. This is UbiSoft standard now, last year AC: Mirage was the same (and that was the best AC game in years).
Hm? They can always say, hey just show stuff from chapter 1, like a ton of other games have done. Im just very sceptical but when it turns out good ill get me a month of Ubi+ to play it.

Late embargoes were fine when games like Kena did it.

8/10 would be a great score. Space combat look really cool. I might sub to Ubi+ just for that. Just hope I get used to the character design.

I was going to buy this, but the more I've seen I'm now leaning towards getting ubisoft subscription and playing that way.
The game looks overly simplistic, like a kids game. It'll be a 7/10 at best. Only because it'll be fairly polished.
It's a shame as I really want a Star wars game that isn't about Jedi and the force. If this was a bit more serious and had more depth, it could have been amazing. Something like Cyberpunk 2077 but in the star wars universe.
I'll play anyway, it'll be a few days of fun hopefully.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Gabe Newell is the elder statesman of gaming right now. Once he is out of the company just for age reasons, Valve is ripe for the taking, with Microsoft or some Chinese consortium being the buyer.

Nice OT!

Still a bit cautious about this, but I'll keep an eye out for reception. If it's good, I'll just go the Ubi+ route and then cancel when I'm done. Probably the best route to take for a new Ubi game IMO.

YouTube requires that when you get a free copy. FTC law.

At least there is some law in this world.

I'm not saying this is irrevocable proof he is lying, but it's not like an active poster whose gaming taste we know got a preview copy. His entire history of 300 posts over 7 years is linking youtube videos. It's not like we are turning against our own because of a disagreement over a game here.

Whenever you get a code for preview or review the FTC requires you to use something like sponsored, ad, partner on socials and the review must state that a free copy was provided. That’s why Steam labels reviews with it. It’s the law.

I doubt I will pick this up any time soon if eve It has nothing to do with any "wokness" or that the lead character isnt "sexy" enough. it''s just i do not like the lead character at all. shes is not interesting or bad ass in anyway and that kills the whole deal for me. 🤷‍♂️
