Really great finale, great acting, nice story beats, good music, epic cinematography and a storyline thats finished. 10/10 (andor of course is still better)

Yeah the ending was disappointing, although I can't articulate why.

Why did Jude Law look so gaunt under the bright light? It was like a different person.

I feel like they missed out on a grand "Wizard of Oz" type reveal with the Supervisor. For all the action in that room and then with the pirates, it felt strangely devoid of a sense of stakes, threat, or even tension. The single pirate ship suddenly seemed so small, was this ENTIRE PLANET so defenseless that a single squad of Alliance was all it took (and they got there so fast, WTF?) to clear them out?

My kid is already asking about a season 2 though, hope it gets one, and fast enough that the girls don't turn into women and Wim grows 2 feet and turns lanky in the interim. I like the kid aspect but if they don't jump on it quick it will feel artificial like the later Stranger Things seasons or they will have to transition to a young adult storyline and that can be really hit or miss 'cause they seem to be intimating the two girls being a thing and that would only get worse as they age.

Anyone watch the art stills at the end? They seemed to maybe depict Jods upbringing, perhaps? A lot of jedi looking stuff in there, I need to watch it again to see if they are just random scenes or telling a story.

Oh come on now, an entire planet being completely defined by basically one city and maybe a few outlying outposts/small towns, that’s what Star Wars has always been about!

Ehh looks like it's mostly well liked here. I kind of hated it lol.
Even watching while exercising I thought it was boring and made for kids.

Maybe Star Wars target was for 12 but they messed up and made it enjoyable for adults. This show, I did not like much about it as an adult. That's just my take. I liked Stranger Things, but not these annoying brats.

FWIW I think there is enough there for adults to be enjoyable. Much like Goonies, the story is clearly framed from a kids point of view, but the overall story, sense of wanderlust, the friendship amongst the kids, the paternalistic(ish) attitude of Jod, these are things I think we can all enjoy, or at least parents can. I'm kinda glad it lacks any big flashy "this is STAR WARS" stuff like having Mando show up or a bunch of Luke Skywalker references because this feels like how they COULD do Star Wars going forward, just solid stories with a sci-fi back drop. Doesn't have to ALWAYS be about Sith trying to rule everything.
