Initially felt the same (except for the small hands part) but you'll get used to it and it will become important. So much that I miss them when playing on a regular controller now.Don't hesitate to tweak your controls there''s a really great variety of customisation.I spent a bit of time with the Deck now and it’s quite fantastic in terms of its build quality and ergonomic design. Very comfortable to hold even over a 2-3 hour session. It’s quite light given its size and the fan has been almost non-existent, that’s how quiet it has been. Screen is gorgeous as expected. The back buttons feel a little out of place or maybe because I have small hands, I just don’t think I’ll ever make use of them. UI is clean and simple, and I haven’t encountered any issues with the OS, runs really well. I also downloaded Aperture Desk Job which turned out to be a polished and charming 30min Steam Deck tutorial. I've been playing Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, it's soooo good.

I don't think it feels premium but it's the most comfortable portable I've ever held. It just fits so perfectly. And everything is so easy to reach since the sticks are more horizontal to the pad/buttons so I don't have to adjust my grip to reach them unlike the Switch and the other portable PCs not named GPD.I spent a bit of time with the Deck now and it’s quite fantastic in terms of its build quality and ergonomic design. Someone should sue...sadly Epic Games Store won't allow you to install the game
I just use Google Chrome. Is there a recommended method to install Netflix/disney/YouTube/prime video etc on the steam deck?
Press the OPTIONS button, go down to the BATTERY icon, and switch the performance overlay to off.Randomly the cpu/gpu/framerate counter turned on in the upper left corner of the screen. How do you turn it off?
Looks like an Apple product.Nice... $30 extra for whtte though..

Awww what a cute profile pic. It’s limited edition. Most limited edition products cost slightly more than standard.
Controllers, consoles, etc.
That better not be sarcasm. Nobody talks shit about Holo.Awww what a cute profile pic.
It wasn't sarcasm. What anime is it?I really like this but I've already bought and returned/sold two Steam Decks... but it's aesthetic.

Spice and Wolf. Theres the original 2 seasons, and now a remake but I prefer the original by far.It wasn't sarcasm. What anime is it?
It looks pretty good, would have preferred if they made the small bezels white too. Already have an oled model though, wish this was the limited edition back then.Nice... $30 extra for whtte though..

Steam Deck still has it's place for low performance games in the market but I honestly have to wonder how much longer they plan to wait around before releasing an new Handheld? The new APUs coming out in January are already going to be 315%-415% more powerful then a Steam Deck.
It feels really bad not being able to play Monster Hunter Wilds on the Steam Deck so the system is feeling pretty old now.
The Internet exists you don't have to adhere to what others said there ate plenty of videos out there showing how the game is running on the Ally XAlso I've been told MHW doesn't even load or isn't the least bit playable on the the Ally either (though the Ally X has the extra RAM to get it going I guess).
There will always be something faster and more performant, and if you’re someone who needs/wants more power out of your handheld, there are definitely options out there now, which is great.

Kingdom Two Crowns is a good game, its worth it.Nice Raw Fury Games Humbe Bundle with 11 Deck verified games right now
gamingonlinux
NORCO alone is worth the bundle IMO
I'm still playing with my Day 1 LCD 256gb model and I'm super happy, but I have to admit I'm finding it hard not to get weak here.I just noticed that OLEDs are now available from the Refurbished section at $439 which is pretty good.

I just want to ask something. Is anyone of you having audio crackling from Steam Deck's speaker with some intervals? I didn't have it before but I think starting from firmware 3.5 it was happening. Looked to the net and they suggested I disabled Wi-Fi Power Saving Mode from developer menu. Did that but nothing changed. Also tried completely turn off Wi-Fi but the problem persists.
What's more is that when I connect wired 3.5 jacked earphones to the Deck, same audio cracking with some intervals happens as well. The audio crackles 1-2 seconds and goes away. Like some kind of interference but it is getting annoying at some point.
Addendum: It is 1TB OLED model.
I remember reading a bunch of people warrantying their Decks for audio crackling, though it seemingly is a pretty simple fix (loosening a screw), but google reddit along with the issue and you'll find it. This is what I found:
Unless you're describing the issue w/ audio crackling upon waking/resuming games from sleep, that is software related and can be circumvented with various Decky plugins.
I jumped on the refurb deal and got it this week, replacing my launch 512GB unit. The OLED definitely delivers massively. Upgrading to 90fps makes 2d and older 3d games noticeably more fluid, and HDR is excellent. The unit is a bit lighter than the OG too. I want to tell you it's not a mandatory upgrade but also I wouldn't go back.I'm still playing with my Day 1 LCD 256gb model and I'm super happy, but I have to admit I'm finding it hard not to get weak here.
Man, I resisted the whole time and now after reading your comment it was that final straw... just to notice there aren't any refurbished ones in stock anymore. Enjoying the Deck so far. But that battery life. Playing a "non-supported" game, but it sucks the battery dry in less than 2 hours.
In GPU-bound scenarios you can often reduce a game's visual settings and reduce Watt/GPU usage to extend battery life, especially in combination with a FPS limiter (either ingame or the Steam Deck's). In CPU-bound scenarios there's unfortunately little you can do if you're already capping at 30fps.Enjoying the Deck so far. But that battery life.
