Steam Deck |OT| Nintendo Switch 2

I remember reading a bunch of people warrantying their Decks for audio crackling, though it seemingly is a pretty simple fix (loosening a screw), but google reddit along with the issue and you'll find it. This is what I found:

Unless you're describing the issue w/ audio crackling upon waking/resuming games from sleep, that is software related and can be circumvented with various Decky plugins.

Thanks for comment. Indeed I looked into reddit as well. My problem is directly with the Steam Deck speakers. 3.5 mm jack is secondary concern right now. I did something yesterday but I wanna see if it's going to work or not. I need to test it further.

But as @azertydu91 said, I think it got to the with the software issue. Like I said, I will test my new solution (at least it seems a solution right now) and if it works, I'll share it here.

I don't remember if I ever posted there, but let me ask something:

How good is chiaki with OLED model because other people had nightmarish experiences with OLED's wifi? And is it a great alternative for Playstation Portal? I ask this because I realized that the Deck might be even better for me for several reasons and should I get it for them:

1. I freaking love JRPGs, indies and visual novels, but I struggle playing them on console. Remote play may allow me to save some money and I could also play some of those games natively as I have a good number of them in my Steam library.
2. I want an emergency PC that I can carry everywhere. I loved Linux Mint, so the OS does not scare me.
3. I also recently fell in love with ARPGs like Diablo and have a good amount of them in my Steam library and I heard Grim Dawn runs good on the Deck.

Also, how good is Heroic Launcher. Will I have problems with controls if I decide to launch for example, Torchlight 2 from Epic Games store with it?

Chiaki / PS Play have both gotten great and bad impressions, it's very much a ymmv thing. If it works it will be great, many prefer the HDR/OLED combo over the higher res PSP.

All your other points are solidly handled by the device, and despite it not being Windows you'll find the community patches/proton versions/support of the Deck to be second to none.
