yeah it's only the title of the show *ignores all the dumb porny shit in s1*Like I said, I didn't watch S2, so as far as I know, the brother fucked that goth cat girl and the sister is off on some stupid American track scholarship that only exists in this imaginary anime world.
I don't get why the entire cast of KuroBasket isn't in the NBA.where ARE all these Japanese genius/athletic kids in America? They're always coming here.
I mean, fine, I don't think there's any incest or whatever in this show. I just think it has the same obnoxious characters that exist in the same obnoxious premise that makes the main character completely unsympathetic and unlikeable while also being tedious to watch because there's no one to root for or to feel happy about.but s2 exists. you can't just ignore what oreimo is actually about lol
I was one of them. You only had to watch part of the first season of Oreimo to see its intentions. Then again, a lot of people were in denial back then.
Sure, if you want to ignore the entire context of this thread and what the post that started this actually said. Firehawk's original post about this is quite clearly not talking about incest, but about the "obnoxious heroine." And no one here is talking to the masses.
The similarities go quite a bit beyond that, as have been detailed. At least based off this episode.

If this season breeds more weird defensive arguments on semantics than lewd posting I guess I can work with that.
Maybe in this world, American players are even better. They're 15 feet tall and have rubber arms that stretch across the court.A better question is why hasn't there been some really stupid reason as to why like the best american players come to Japan, see them play and are all "shit son we gotta play you"
I can't judge what's not on screen though.i shouldn't comment too much before watching, but the entire point of the manga is that even though she's a goddamn brat she's still an adorable lil sister sorta thing. kinda like actually having a real lil sibling.
Sucks if the direction draws that outta there.
Think about what bullshit superpowers American basketball players have in the the world of Kurobasket. These are just Japanese kids, the Americans gotta have some real amazing bullshit. Kagami only spent his formative years in the states, imagine the shit NBA players are pulling if they have superpowers too!I don't get why the entire cast of KuroBasket isn't in the NBA.
I'm already on 3 backlog shows because nothing this season is grabbing me so far (and I'm even having doubts about my hyped show of the season i.e Prison School)Prison School still hasn't dropped and we are only 1 week into the new season for the most part. Stay frosty, you never know.

Yeah, I think they're giant gummy people as I posted above. lolThink about what bullshit superpowers American basketball players have in the the world of Kurobasket. Sure, and maybe the anime is made for people who have already read the manga so they are saving the "good stuff" for later. I have no idea. But it left a terrible first impression.i'm just saying what ideally the anime should be aiming for. i can't watch until work is over, so *shrug*
But is it gonna be as long as the wait for KH3? LOL. Jokes aside, yeah it will. And I bet that just like with season 1, it'll be a while until another in the high school/slice of life genre comes and grabs my attention as much as SNAFU does.

I'm just gonna read the LNs and draw fanfics. Thats how I'm gonna cope.

Honestly in the same way that people hope that Monster Girls leads to other monster manga being adapted, I just hope that this is successful so that someone decides to make a Shinozaki-san Ki wo Ota Shika ni! anime.I never knew about the manga or show, and it wasn't until a few days ago that folks here told me what it was about. I thought I wasn't going to even give it a shot, but I caved in and enjoyed it for today. I may get bored of it, I don't even know if there is any kind of plot to this other than the sister being a lazy slob when no one is watching or even any kind of character progression.

Inami has really grown on me. I don't know if it's because it's been a long time since I've seen season 1, but I really appreciate how she's the new normal character now that Takanashi is basically all about little girls now lol. My favorite character in Working now.

Although I wonder if you can do a Precure parody in a show about a girl who has a crush on another girl and not get sued in some way. lol
I don't get why the entire cast of KuroBasket isn't in the NBA.

Episode was structured weird as in it was a bunch of exposition followed by a fight just because. Weirdly awesome.
I'd forgotten this one had that hot set piece at the end between Daichi and Zimbolt in their mechs and how it delivered.
Another member of the Planetary Gears found but probably all for naught since anitwitter informed me this plot thread is soon to be abandoned. :lol
Let this be my humble submission to the pantheon of terribly composited anime screens such as that one Angel Beats! screen Branduil likes. Aside from the apparently rubber swords, we have the weird little chair things that don't look like they're part of the scene at all with the true highlight being the girl looking like she's some sort of amputee.
No long hair to frame her face leaves Miou looking like a really poorly drawn cyclops. A good fit for this season.
Well, some anime fans are post-human now!I don't know if I'm the only one here who just doesn't find the whole girl/monster mesh super unattractive, it seems to be quite popular though. Like do folks just like the franchise for the smut in it or what, because my brain has trouble finding any of the monster girls "hot". Specially the spider one. Screw that one.
Prepure life~if we don't get a shinozaki san anime we riot
Well, Mihashi is completely broken psychologically. Imagine if your star pitcher cried after every game. The same reason Mihashi from Oofuri isn't already being scouted by every baseball person in Japan if not the world as a result of displaying Greg Maddux-like command of five different pitches as a 16-year old.

well the first season had some pretty legendary QUALITY but s2 and s3 look pretty good
The best scene
The first season no longer looks like that, sadly. It's all fixed.
i don't even really know anything about prepure and shinozaki-san is a pretty hilarious manga.
Holy shit at these arguments. Why is it any time there is a little sister she is automatically screwing, or wants her older brother to screw her? Is this mindset really all Oreimo's fault?
I honestly don't remember. lolHe's also got a really weak arm even by Japanese highschool standards.
Also Japanese players are always a bust!Teams have taken chances with worse! Also he's a teenager, and everyone in that show cried after every game!

Looked innocent to me, same for SNAFU and Charlotte. .. All innocent. .

Past my bedtime.
Himouto is not about leading some secret otaku life. It's about being lazy as fk while this girl is out of the public eye. OreImo is an incest first show about some dude's sister being a secret moe/lolicon fanatic. One is an adaptation of a light novel. The other is an adaptation of a manga that can have chapters that are only a few pages long. Really the comparison is just baseless and lazy. If people don't want to pay attention then fine, whatever, but some people here really enjoy posting about anime they haven't watched/know nothing about and the drone of it all is rather annoying.Yeah? At first blush, I think that's pretty fair. Again: Popular "perfect" girl at school has a secret nerdy life at home. Her brother is the prominently featured tsukkomi who has to deal with what that side actually is. I'm sure the two diverge pretty heavily, but i'm not sure how's that's such a craaazy comparison after that first episode. lol
Suu and Papi <3 <3 <3
miia is just naru if she was a snake lady
yesss umaru on CR! Now to see if it's as good as gekkan shoujo (so glad that turned out amazing)
Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions S2 ep. 1-6:
I let this one go for months and I ran into it again when I was going to start Wagnaria!, so I wanted to clear it outta my Crunchy queue. So far, it's not as funny or entertaining a S1 since it's not about dealing with Chunibyo and how to live with it or overcome it. Those crazy sections in S1 were fun. At times, there were really dramatic moments as well that are non-existing in S2. There is also nowhere near the embedded drama invilved. However, it's much deeper into the SoL aspect of their new living arrangements and their relationship in general which is entertaining in it's own way with the way it's progressing their relationship. Very cute and touching overall and I'm interested in how they work everything out over the final 6 episodes.
Kuusen Madoushi Kouhosei no Kyoukan
This is like the opposite of TRU, but equally shit. Thanks anime!
I don't care about the dumb incest stuff, because whatever. She's just an annoying selfish protagonist with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Doubly so because they do the whole stupid "closet otaku" thing.
If this was a male character, people would hate his fucking guts.
Why do you people keep calling To-Love-Ru TRU and not TLR, weebs
On another note it took me a long time to figure out To-Love-Ru was supposed to be a wordplay on Trouble
it was just a small, superficial comparison. Chill out.Himouto is not about leading some secret otaku life. It's about being lazy as fk while this girl is out of the public eye.
