Nintendo doesn't have a reputation for releasing no games
Nint Fanboys gloated at the announcement.. they cant take it back just because is lame ass MP only pvpvpve ...it was their only win at that awful showingI love Bloodborne and From Software, but people would be pissed (and I would be pissed) if Bloodborne 2 was announced exclusively for PS5 and it was MP only.
So I'm confused by reaction to DuskBloods, regardless if it's ends up being good.
I'm also not really liking this MP focus between DuskBloods and Night Reign from From Software as of late.
Thoughts?
From has expressed desire in working on the Bloodborne IP. Blame Sony for stitting with their dick in their hands for 10 years doing nothing.I'm actually butthurt to Miyazaki, like, if you're willing to make a vampires-themed Bloodborne knockoff exclusively for a single system... then go make an actual Vilebloods spin-off to the Bloodborne series for PlayStation, who I'd bet would be thrilled to fund after Bloodborne's 8 million lifetime sales on a single platform in a pre-Elden Ring era.
This feels just as lame as if Kojima were to include an enemy with a pyramid-shaped head in OD while also setting the game in a foggy town -- at that point just go bury the hatchet with Konami and make an actual Silent Hill game.
I don't seriously believe Sony wanted From Software only for Déraciné and nothing else. From has expressed desire in working on the Bloodborne IP. Blame Sony for stitting with their dick in their hands for 10 years doing nothing.
Look... I'd love to believe that but I just can't. There's no way Sony aproached FROM to work on Bloodborne and From just said....nah,we want to work on something almost 1 to 1 but Multiplayer and with the competition.I don't seriously believe Sony wanted From Software only for Déraciné and nothing else.
Nintendo guys are on cope mode. If this was a traditional AAA Fromsoft game, spiritual successor to Bloodborne like Demon to Dark Souls, people would be going crazy for it.I believe people (myself included) are disappointed fromsoft is clearly changing their focus towards multiplayer games, instead of the single-player with pvp/coop elements that they were known for.
While nobody is entitled to it, it still is shitty, is like a heavy metal band you enjoyed for 15 years suddenly started doing reggae, it's their product, but as a consumer, you should voice your disapproval.
To be fair it is directed by Miyazaki so it's not just some side project,I understand how people would be excited despite the MP only stigma but also after that shitty ass presentation they need all the cope they can getYeah I noticed the Nintendo fanboys are going crazy for this game, but like nobody cares about some multiplayer only game. This isn't the big W they think it is.
YesWait I didn't catch that during the presentation. Duskbloods is multiplayer only? Why?
The thing is that we *do* know Sony approached Bloodborne shortly after The Old Hunters shipped. After the PlayStation awards ceremony in December 2015, a few Bloodborne producers met with Miyazaki and approached him for a new collaborative project (this is from a Japanese interview, btw). That project resulted on Déraciné almost 3 years later, but I find it hard to believe that these same producers weren't up for a Bloodborne sequel as well.Look... I'd love to believe that but I just can't. There's no way Sony aproached FROM to work on Bloodborne and From just said....nah,we want to work on something almost 1 to 1 but Multiplayer and with the competition.
There's something we don't know here.
We don't know if it's exclusively multiplayer, but it sure is labelled as PvPvE.Duskbloods is multiplayer only?
Worst timeline.Why?
Yeah, lol, it really seems like yall don't care at all about this, LOL. I see how totally unaffected you all are. Nobody cares about some Fromsoft game? Gotcha chief.Yeah I noticed the Nintendo fanboys are going crazy for this game, but like nobody cares about some multiplayer only game. This isn't the big W they think it is.
It would have been a HUGE win if it was a true "Bloodborne". I don't understand why they are doing this to us.Yeah I noticed the Nintendo fanboys are going crazy for this game, but like nobody cares about some multiplayer only game. This isn't the big W they think it is.
I don't know anymore man,so many theories,rumors...as a huge fan of this IP:The thing is that we *do* know Sony approached Bloodborne shortly after The Old Hunters shipped. After the PlayStation awards ceremony in December 2015, a few Bloodborne producers met with Miyazaki and approached him for a new collaborative project (this is from a Japanese interview, btw). This was around the same time Miyazaki wasn't too fond on sequels per some interviews in early 2016, so it's not impossible to think that From Software wasn't up for a Bloodborne follow-up.
This is truly the worst timelinePlayStation was supposed to bring gaming out of the bedroom and make it mainstream and yet their fans are sat in the dark playing with themselves while Nintendo's off multiplaying at rooftop parties since 2017
You can be a shut in loser playing Bloodbourne or you can have friends and play Duskbloods like a socially well adjusted member of society.
Self-portrait? I don't even like From games so I could care less even if this was Bloodborne 2. Also, I judge every game individually and don't blindly cheer a game because I like the dev or publisher. I like Square-Enix but they have made plenty of shit games and I'm not afraid to call them out when they do. I guess not being a total zealot is a foreign concept to a Nintendo fan though.Yeah, lol, it really seems like yall don't care at all about this, LOL. I see how totally unaffected you all are. Nobody cares about some Fromsoft game? Gotcha chief.

One could assume that Elden Ring selling 25+ million copies was funding enough. If Miyazaki is doing this to fund another Soulsborne project, then by all means, you do whatever you gotta do.
That profit was for funding NightreignOne could assume that Elden Ring selling 25+ million copies was funding enough.
I wonder what's going on there. I just hope both this and Neightreign are just Bandai and Nintendo wanting a small slice of the From cake while they are actually working on a traditional, single-player game.
Duskblood's being directed by Miyazaki could just be marketing speach. Or maybe I'm coping, that could be too.
Rightfully so, because NO ONE wants MP online only Bloodborne
Let From do whatever the hell they want, so they can come back later to ER2 or the next Souls like they'll be cooking
I really hope you're both right BUT.If Miyazaki is doing this to fund another Soulsborne project, then by all means, you do whatever you gotta do.
?I really hope you're both right BUT.
> denial. (We are here right now)
anger.
bargaining.
depression.
acceptance.
No shit. So why all the freaking out?Look... I'd love to believe that but I just can't. There's no way Sony aproached FROM to work on Bloodborne and From just said....nah,we want to work on something almost 1 to 1 but Multiplayer and with the competition.
There's something we don't know here.
I really dislike console wars stuff, I didn't even mention anything related to it.?
This is not the first time From do some game that's not what people are waiting for, like remember the VR game they did for Sony?
Is this a new console wars BS? From being doing exclusives for a long time now, so idk what are you trying to imply here
I know it must be something big for Nintendo fans after years of neglect, but check their wiki if you don't believe me, they always have an exclusive game for an specific system from time to time
Probably years of wanting a Bloodborne Remaster or PC Version or a sequel and you get a spiritual successor in Duskblood as Nintendo Exclusive and seemingly multiplayer focus in a primarily singleplayer series. No shit. So why all the freaking out?
Except it's not just a side project since Miyazaki is confirmed to be directing this. If he wasn't maybe it wouldn't be such a big deal but if he's involved that throws the plans for another big project anytime soon out the window. No shit. So why all the freaking out?
Duskbloods is clearly another side project like Deracine and Nightreign. From hasn't announced their next big RPG post-Elden Ring yet. Even if Sony and From wanted to make a new BB, it's not like they had time with all hands on deck for Elden Ring for the past 5 years.
Be patient. Something is brewing.
Who do you think directed Deracine?Except it's not just a side project since Miyazaki is confirmed to be directing this. If he wasn't maybe it wouldn't be such a big deal but if he's involved that throws the plans for another big project anytime soon out the window.
And I'm not freaking out, I'm just tired of constantly waiting for anything to be done with the Bloodborne IP. When you go 10 years of constant rumors and theories and dissapointment it turns you jaded to it so telling me to be patient after 10 years of waiting won't do anything.
Bingo.Probably years of wanting a Bloodborne Remaster or PC Version or a sequel and you get a spiritual successor in Duskblood as Nintendo Exclusive and seemingly multiplayer focus in a primarily singleplayer series.
The Souls genre marked the path to them, there's always an online component and they sure are trying to perfect it, so not saying they'll do GAAS stuff from now on, but they probably want a more robust MP/online component in these days of "engagement" and millions playing the same game after years of release like Fortnite, GTAO, Apex and so onI really dislike console wars stuff, I didn't even mention anything related to it.
My point is this is the second multiplayer focused fromsoft is doing in a row.
I assume they are going in the games as a service route, and I had no idea they made a VR game, I have to look into.
Were you able to play the Nightreign network test? It's very fun, even with randoms. If Duskbloods plays similarly, I think it'll be very good. A primarily single player experience would've been preferable, but I have faith in the multiplayer focus after trying out Nightreign. Plus, the art direction alone and being in a Bloodborne-esque world directed by Miyazaki again is too good to pass up. Beasts, blood, guns, Victorian Gothic architecture, eldritch manifestations. The characters even seem to be doing the Bloodborne walk too.I'm also not really liking this MP focus between DuskBloods and Night Reign from From Software as of late.
I suppose,I guess we'll see what happens.Who do you think directed Deracine?
As far as I understand, this is GAAS.The Souls genre marked the path to them, there's always an online component and they sure are trying to perfect it, so not saying they'll do GAAS stuff from now on, but they probably want a more robust MP/online component in these days of "engagement" and millions playing the same game after years of release like Fortnite, GTAO, Apex and so on
It's wonderful to see, even moreso since it's Switch 2 exclusive. And you think people aren't pissed about Duskbloods being labelled as a multiplayer game? bruh
Are you retarded? Majority in the announcement thread are complaining about MPI love Bloodborne and From Software, but people would be pissed (and I would be pissed) if Bloodborne 2 was announced exclusively for PS5 and it was MP only.
So I'm confused by reaction to DuskBloods, regardless if it's ends up being good.

It's surreal to me and the haters are expending pure cope.Yeah, lol, it really seems like yall don't care at all about this, LOL. I see how totally unaffected you all are. Nobody cares about some Fromsoft game? Gotcha chief.

Deracine is an amazing VR game though.?

This isn't an RPG that incorporates multiplayer. This is a 'multiplayer action' game by From Softwares own definition. Dark Souls/Elden Ring are primarily PvE games, with an optional PvP component.Maybe we should wait to see what the game actually is.
The outrage over PvPvE is dumb considering that's every Souls game. Being invaded is fun when people want to throwdown. Invaders who run are a nuisance.
