Look, I didn't like TLOU2. In fact it pretty much killed my interest in replaying the series and any future entry. I'm glad some people liked it though. But lately what's been really repelling me from this franchise are the people involved in making it. They really do come off high on their own supply, like the success has gotten to their heads. Constant re-releases, director commentaries, Neil obviously trying to break into Hollywood. I'm not saying no dev should be proud of their success, but there is just something about these guys that rubs me the wrong way. They're not the only "Cinematic Gaming" dev in town, and there are other devs that rival them.
I would not be surprised at all if their future games fall short of their predecessors. I have no way of proving this obviously, but I can't shake the feeling that Naughty Dog might be losing sight of what made them great in the first place. All I've seen from these guys for the past two and half years is their never ending TLOU circlejerk with re-releases, a multipleplayer game that probably won't get made, and the show, which quite frankly was just okay and very overrated.
