This sounds utterly insane but it's true, Nicole Bass just passed away. I saw something about her having a heart attack but I thought it might've been fake. Holy shit...

Easily one of my favorite wack packers, always had a good attitude and was a pretty happy personality on the show, Fred's impression was legendary.

On another note, I fucking hate this thread and how it is absolutely buried in the community section. No one posts to it yet the dedicated Bass thread has 50+ posts.

His stuff about JD was CRINGE worthy. Reddit was going crazy, especially with he Robin/Bubba story. Talk about being unreasonable. If he cared about gossip so much, bring back the Wrap Up Show so people can talk about themselves on there.

I know this will sound ridiculous, but this week has been the worst week of the show in my personal history of listening. It was really tough to get through, Benjy really does steal time and hijacks the show, just terrible.

I listened to that 5 part JD compilation the past month or so, and it was the HSS at its best. Much better than what the show has turned into.

What sucks is they finally got fucking Benjy out of the studio-and they're still willingly getting into the Vortex with him and falling for all his cries for attention.

This definitely bothered me. A legendary wack packer, given a pretty half-assed send off, with Robin acting like she didn't even know (??), and that episode started out with like 2 hours of really lame Oscar discussion and Benji "hijinks", and those lame fake callers. I agree that this show was one of the worst I've heard in a long time, but Tuesday and Wednesday were not that bad.

I think the mistake I made was watching a ton of 90s show segments on their vacation, then you come back to a very sterile, preplanned show with too many written skits and segments, and a bloodless tribute to Nicole. On the plus side, that Mellencamp interview was pretty fun today, heh.

I do get that it's probably an act so she can represent the audience reaction...but the wrap up show had a call that asked about it and they acted like she really didn't know it happened. I don't know how much wrasslin happens on this show, but man.

Robin legit seems like an airhead sometimes. I can't even remember the last time she disagreed with Howard on something.

I have similar experiences listening to old shows. It makes it really tough to listen to the current show.

I was listening to a collection of Best of Howard's Parents....(and his impressions of them) and it was just utterly hilarious. I laughed so hard at:

Howard's Dad wanting to buy stock in KFC
Howard asking them how far they went sexually before marriage
Ray's reaction to their heat breaking down
Their hearing difficulties
Howard's mom believing that Howard's sister was a virgin when she got married
His dad's obsessive behavior with food, his cereal "rotation" his sardine "inventory" and their schedule of what restaurants to go to.

Anyway, how are Ben and Ray doing....? Has he discussed them lately?

Artie Lange was busted with heroin and cocaine in the parking garage of his complex in Hoboken, NJ ... TMZ has learned. According to cops ... the comedian and 'Howard Stern Show' star had several bags of drugs on him and more in his car and was arrested on Sunday. Cops say he was taken to police headquarters and booked on three separate charges before he was released.Artie just tweeted, confirming his arrest but saying he's doing great. He says the Hoboken cops treated him professionally and now his lawyer is instructing him on what to do. He added ... "I'm such a flawed person guys. Tryin!" Lange has a long history of drug and alcohol abuse and was hospitalized in 2010 after an apparent suicide attempt.

Yep, I agree 100%. Howard was smart to walk away from him, he has looked HORRIBLE on Twitter the last few months, he looks like he is 69 not 49. He is a pure disaster, same problems as before and is just proving he messed up the best chance and opportunity of his life.

He won't outlast Jeff The Drunk.

I'm just really sad that he's officially still doing heroin...and still acting like he'll be fine going by his tweets. Just so fucking sad that we're probably going to lose him to that shit, not to mention if he scores some bad stuff like so many od's have.

I kinda wonder how they would approach this outside of a casual mention. It's too long-form to really play. I don't know how they could cut it up into segments.

Plus, Sour brought up some real points about the show and how it wouldn't allow Artie to advertise, how there's a new boss out of nowhere who runs the show, ect. Those subjects aren't allowed to be discussed.

Probably won't be brought up, but honestly even though I think Howard is the biggest hippocryte of all time, and deals with things like an absolute pussy - dealing with Artie's bullshit in studio had to have been the worst.

On the Opie show(Opie and Anthony are fucking terrible, trying to listen to old Patrice O'Neal is an exercise in patience), Artie mentioned the bro fight and calling Stern a pelican as the moment he knew it was over for him on the show. But I agree that it was the attention thing.
You could hear how annoyed Stern was when Artie was voted most liked on the show. I remember him saying something like: "It's the Howard Stern Show and I'm not the most liked?!"

Edit: Memet is a fucking lunatic.

I hate how the show handles this. Be fucking honest, they are not fooling anyone. This sounds horrible, I don't mean it to be, but I wouldn't be surprised if she dies this year. The cancer she had is really bad, most people do not come out as well as she has, and it looks like it is possible she didn't.

It is pretty obvious from the way her mic sounds. It is often louder than everyone else's and it has a weird echo. Howard has always been dishonest with stuff like this.
