Valve is doing this very weird thing where workers aren't tied to specific projects and they can jump between projects any time they want as there is no hierarchy there. This gives them a lot of freedom, but at a same time it probably is a major reason why a lot of sequels didn't happenedNew cosmetics for dota, cs and tf2 ain't going to make themselves.
I understood that reference...what was it when that thread was made..like 2011 ?Half Life, 3 new hires.
Valve were on the Sweet baby list, so never say never..Hopefully they'll pass on the blue hairs but I doubt it.
Most played game on Steam by a mile is dead ? CS2 is anything but that c'monPlease hire some talent for CS2. Lifelong Counter-Strike player but that game is dead now. Gave it a new coat of paint but at the cost of more than half the previous content and filled with technical issues and other game breaking bugs.
Alyx and Deadlock are pretty obviously influenced.Valve were on the Sweet baby list, so never say never..

Valve as a game make though is probably the least one I'm concerned with pushing out 'modern' nonsense. They barely make any new games and the best ones they've already madeAlyx and Deadlock are pretty obviously influenced.
Old Valve is dead. Long live old Valve.
But are they hiring talent and skills or
They should snatch up all the non-DEI-applicable hires that other companies shun.
I just put in for their Anti-WOKE D.I.E specialist

Where are all these jobs listed? I just see a generic jobs page with positions they are "always" hiring for.
I didn't corroborate with Sweet BabyI'm starting to think this is like a "Pavlov's Dog" scenario. Someone mentions "hiring" and people have to mention DEI or Woke.

Yeah but the community is far from happy. There's hardly any casual content any more. Also, let's not forget that CS2 is mostly just a lottery simulator these days what with the rampant case gambling and weapon skin market. There's a ton of bot farms that partake in that game, especially with the recent 'season pass' update (which was similarly awful and phoned in). Most played game on Steam by a mile is dead ? Isn't it obvious they're hiring for proper release of DEADLOCK.
so people are not allow to say facts anymore because they hurt you feelings ?I'm starting to think this is like a "Pavlov's Dog" scenario. Someone mentions "hiring" and people have to mention DEI or Woke.
Constant politics on this forumI'm starting to think this is like a "Pavlov's Dog" scenario. Someone mentions "hiring" and people have to mention DEI or Woke.

Valve is the poster child for hiring the best people in the industry and then making sure they get stuck in development hell.Hey now, we didn't start that shit show. I used to associate 'hiring' with an employer looking for qualified personnel and nothing else.
I hope you meant 2025!Hopefully they are speeding up development of the Deckard with a 2026 release window!
I don't see it, unfortunately. I also don't see any big advancements in displays or semiconductors on the horizon before 2027 (at the earliest) that are going to be game changers. That's the problem VR is having: the tech is still in its infancy and there really hasn't been a huge leap in recent years, but it is definitely coming and if someone can do it, it is Valve!I hope you meant 2025!![]()
