Could there be a link with white peoples being majority in USA? Or the ratio of peoples finishing universities? Imagine if you have seniors, their college years are over 2 decades behind maybe, when the ratio of white in college enrollment was 70%

How do you even validate having ~15% minorities graduating college, even probably LESS in computer science field as they are dominated by males, to then have 50% or more representation of DEI in a company? The math doesn't check out. It's not organic.

Same for women, I mean the ratio is not in favor of women for computer science. Insert Bill Burr WNBA joke here. Is it also OUR job to convince women to join this field?


According to this university, the ratio of male vs female in computer science is 4:1. Which is already surprisingly low, I'm sure there was massive progress for that in the past 20 years for sure.

Their average of $1.3m per employee is only that way because a) Gabe and a few of the upper brass are "employees" of the company and b) their team is so small (about 350 people). Seattle (and Bellevue in particular) are also extremely high cost of living areas, so if I had to guess: 300 of those people are making $250k-$300k a year while another 40 are making $600k-$800k a year, and then 10 people at the top are bringing home $10m each. Then the big guy is probably being paid $250m to bring that average up to $1.3m per employee.
 
This honestly isn't worth even discussing and this sort of talk is becoming more and more ridiculous as time goes on.

Nobody is taking this seriously anymore.
 
These people don't give a fuck about diversity, they see Valve's cash flow and they want in. That's all it is with these DEI parasites.

Valve is the best example I can think of for staying not going public with your company. They are able to stay aligned with their customers as opposed to public companies who align with their investors and shareholders. Never ever go public.

Diversity just means less whites in today's modern world.

Lets use sports as an example. The NBA is around 80% black and 20% white and is considered to be the most diverse sports league in the world. MLB is around 60% white, 7% Black, 30% Latino, and 3% Asian and is considered to be a league that has a problem with diversity.

I would love to see the distribution. Average as a statistic is so misleading. One guy makes $1M/year, the other is homeless and makes nothing. They average $500K/year.
 
Why should I care. A diverse team will it make games for me, a toxic white male cis gender gamer. They have told me this first hand. I need people like me to make games for me.

What if a company hired based on merit alone, but embraced DEI in superficial ways to bump up their ESG woke cred up?

Wouldn't that company have an insane market advantage over those who hired based on immutable characteristics?
