16 minutes of Light of Motiram gameplay has been published as the game that fans have labeled as a “Horizon clone” is also confirmed for PS5.

Earlier this week developer Polaris Quests announced Light of Motiram, and fans were quick to point out similarities between it, and Sony’s Horizon franchise.

Now, the developer has confirmed that the game will come to PS5 and iOS in addition to Steam. Alongside this, 16 minutes of gameplay has also been published.

“Facing primal civilisations, unpredictable weather and lurking Mechanimals, you must make the most of every resource to maintain your survival,” the game’s description reads.

While the gameplay appears to have some elements not found in the Horizon series, such as co-op multiplayer and the ability to craft shelters, the game has nevertheless been criticised on social media with many accusing it of taking more than a little inspiration from Guerrila’s games.

Players can also tame and train the Mechanimals, leading some to suggest the game may also borrow heavily from Palworld, which itself was criticised for taking apparent inspiration from Pokemon.

too bad it's just another crafting/survival copycat. I was actually kinda stoked they'd be copying Horizon, but I guess that wouldn't be as profitable sadly. Well they had my interest for almost a full day

Well I was dismissive of this but now that I can play on my new 13" ipad pro M4. I'll give it a chance.

Edit-Also I keep reading this as Light of Motrin. The headache medicine.

Is it just me or the combat feels like Dark Souls?

Well, it looks more fun to me than Horizon since I could never enjoy that game's combat since it relied too much on projectiles instead of melee.

I'm actually interested in this.

Developers went buckwild with the tracing paper. Saw a trailer for it and not one original idea presented here. Horizon plagiarism is pretty obvious (they even copied the music smh) but the devs have stolen the gravity attack of the Fallingstar beast from Elden Ring and put it on one of their own enemies. It does the same fucking animation, right down to a t. I hope they get sued to oblivion.

It has a big focus on crafting and building stuff, which (apart from armor/weapons) wasn't a focus in Horizon. I didn't see any of the cinematic character/story focus of Horizon, so it may be different in that regard, too. The machine fight didn't remind me much of Horizon, either, although the machines and the environment certainly do.
