Maybe I'm wrong, but Denpasoft announced like 10 games and they all look like bullshit.

They supposedly started the panel by saying "Who's excited to see some boobies!?!? WHO'S EXCITED TO SEE SOME VAGINAS!?!?!?!?!?"
So, that tells you about all you need to know.
Fuckin' weebs. Mangagamer's announcements were all nonsense, too.
I mean, it's obviously great that this genre actually exists in a meaningful capacity in the west... but man, it looks like the garbage-tier stuff is what's really catching on :-/
If they chose titles based off of what would have a low word count or licensing fee in order to maximize on profit I doubt they'd be bringing over Yuzusoft games. There are plenty of other choices with much smaller word counts from smaller companies.
Yeah I agree they probably have a better chance of doing well. I'm just skeptical that these titles are low cost/effort acquisitions and releases considering Yuzusoft is a relatively big name in Japan AFAIK.I have no idea about Yuzusoft since their games don't look to be up my alley, just presenting other possible reasons MG may make more money on nukige vs other types of VN.
Yuzusoft doesn't appear to make nukige, but I guess as long as there's ero content those games have a better chance of doing well.
I wonder if that has anything to do with the scale of each company, considering MangaGamer can afford to do something like Space Live. I guess it seems like I'm just making excuses for JAST and Sekai Project but MangaGamer is way more prolific than either of them (yet their website is still awful). It could also be that Sekai Project in particular is trying to establish their branding as a "high-profile moege" localization company.MG I like a lot because they like to take risks on interesting projects and niche genres. Stuff like Euphoria, Fata Morgana, No Thank You, Fashioning Little Miss Lonesome, Liarsoft titles, and others. Sekai and JAST mostly like to stick to safe genres (moeges and simple nukiges) and things that are already popular with an established fan base from either previous works or in the case of Sekai fan TLs. Although JAST has picked up a few interesting titles in the past.
I see a fair amount of people in the "porn or bust" mindset, IE they won't touch anything if there's no h-scenes, even if it's a really good all ages games.
Mangagamer talked about it IIRC and said their nukige sales are what allows them to bring over the more story-driven games, which don't really turn much of a profit.*
I didn't realize Sekai Project has a discord. Thanks!Dovac said in the SP Discord that the Rewrite+ translation will be fresh. Apparently they don't even have the fan TL to work off of (Visual Arts is the one that bought it, didn't give it to them).
To add to the conversation above: Both Dracu Riot and Senran Banka have more RTs/likes on Twitter than the new Noveactale game.
At this point I'd give up. The existing TL is 99% done and is only missing translated images. But most of them all say "whose eyes are those eyes" anyway.Do you think it's worth it to wait and hope that the Steins;Gate pc improvement team can indeed translate Noah or just give up and play the already translated Chaos;Head ? And yeah, I loved the anime, come at me :S

JAST got Steins;Gate, the coup of a lifetime.MG I like a lot because they like to take risks on interesting projects and niche genres. So I'm playing Noble Works right now and so far it is incredibly meh. Not bad. It's enjoyable enough in a laid back sort of way. It just has no impact whatsoever and doesn't feel memorable at all. I'm not even done with the game and I barely remember what happened in other routes.
I wonder if this other Yuzusoft stuff will be better. The more fantasy/action oriented elements should certainly help.
Yuzusoft games are played just for the art, which is as good as it gets (provided you like the style). The rest... well...
I'm hoping they get the first two titles out soon in order to get the third one faster. Have no idea what to expect of Tenshin Ranman, and don't really care about Dracu Riot. I am very interested in the third one, however. It's about time we got a 1080p title here: I'm not a fan of reading 720p novels on a 1080p display or reading them in a small window.
Oh, and Wagamama is releasing on the 25th. Geez...
Subahibi is coming out in late August. Will be on Steam with a weird release strategy. Part 1 of the game is $29.99 and there's a free patch that has the rest of the game and all its adult content.
What about people who prefer all-ages versions?
He makes a really poor argument tbh. Herkz sounds more bitter that Frontwing didn't need him than anything.
What about releasing a supposedly unfinished product is a bad argument? Sincere question.
This premise is faulty, but the part where he keeps talking and reveals that he's really just venting bitterness at Frontwing. Herkz isn't really a source I'd put much stock into when it comes to things like this. The guy is making the assumption that only he could edit the game and that Frontwing is hurting their product to spite him and it's pretty silly.
Frontwing actually has a pretty good record with their translation quality post setting up their own localization staff.
So I picked up Fruit of Grisaia for $15 (due to it's near universal praise) from a sale on Denpasoft but I'm having a bit of trouble installing it.
They sent me an email with a 7 part download + a patch however each compressed file extracts to the exact same 7GB file totaling 7 7GB files after extraction. On top of this 7zip throws a data error for an img file every time I attempt to extract anything past part 1. I tried dumping them all in the same folder but I just end up overwriting the same files 7 times over.
Is there anyway to get a Steam Key out of a Denpasoft purchase?
DId you look at the FAQs?Prob a stupid question but might as well ask.
