Were their Holy Shit! moments in TGA? What were your two?

Never expected Naughty Dog and CDPR to reveal their next projects at the Big Advertisement Show.

But Onimusha and GenDesign's game were the real WTF moments for me.

Not real HOLY SHIT moment but Helldivers 2 new content and Witcher 4 announcement. And the new Ueda's game (Ico, Shadow of the colossus....).

And more on a mixed way, the new Elden Ring announcement.

Witcher IV was the highlight for me. Ciri as main character is what I've always wanted.

Elden Ring was cool but I need to wait and see more.

Couldn't tell you what other games were there. All rubbish.

I'm only seeing the trailers now.

Ueda's new game gave me goosebumps, i love his games.

And Onimusha Way of the Sword, this series is so good, i'm glad is back and developed by Capcom.

Naughty Dog's Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, Okami Sequel, Onimusha, The Witcher 4 and Ueda's next game were all big reveals.
Edit: And Elden Ring co-op standalone game.

Not for me but i was surprised they announced Witcher 4, these CDPR dudes are mad, they should've waited a little bit, but its ok.

I didn't expect to hear about fumito ueda tonight, and really didn't expect to hear about from okami ever again, do yeah, holy shit!

Quite a few things that caught my attention this year, actually.

Solasta 2, a new Onimusha, a new Okami, Ueda's new project, a new Virtua Fighter...
And there's a bunch more in the "tentatively interest/curious" tier. Mafia Old Country, the new Naughty Dogs game, etc.
In the "on my radar, but I have perplexities about some choices" I'd mention the new FromSoft game and Witcher 4. The former because the asset recycling seems strong, the latter because "Ciri protagonist" is a worst-case-scenario I used to joke about and now it's turning into a reality.

Overall, I'd say that none had a particular STELLAR SHOWING, but not a bad lineup to look after.

Okami (with Kamiya onboard) and Onimusha. Capcom listening to fans is always welcome.

Now, Capcom, about Dino Crisis....wink wink

Honestly it was vague and can depend on your age usually.

Okami, Onimusha, VF and Ueda games are basically forgotten gems where ports of all games never did anything but a quick "still relevant? Maybe". And each in their prime was so long ago mosy anyone probably 23 and under doesn't have a connection to.

I guess Naughty Dog for doing another remaster could be "holy shit, please just stop".

Nothing that totally stunned me, but there were a handful of great trailers and announcements.

Witcher 4, Onimusha, Rebirth PC release and Intergalactic got me off my seat.

Okami was honestly a meh announcement. I remember it being a good game back on the PS2, but nothing special and it's not like a cultural phenom that sold tens of million of copies, but you'd have thought Keighley had just discovered fire.

"Holy shit, do they need to pad this out with port news?"
"Holy shit, isn't Laura Bailey married?"
"Holy shit, why does everything have to be Soulslop?"
"Holy shit, I can't believe that people are still getting hyped for please be excite announcements without so much as a proof of concept?"
"Holy shit, are you trying to agitate another generational controversy, Druckmann?"

Virtua Fighter 6 and Onimusha. I'm also looking forward to the new naughty dog game. But VF6 and Onimusha were definitely my Holy shit moments.

All of the trailers looked good to me.

To the point where the trailers may very well better than some of the games.

Virtua Fighter trailer was a perfect example. Really beautiful trailer with some excellent effects. Then you see the game playing annnnd it looks like Virtua Fighter. Almost forty years later and we're still at guy on the left versus guy on the right.
