I've been playing my 3DS every day since launch. Most of my time has been spent with Super Street Fighter 4 3DS but I've also enjoyed my time with Pilotwings. And though it's definitely not a very traditional game, Nintendogs and Cats: French Bulldog is a fun addition as someone who loves dogs but lives in an apartment. The animation is so much better than on the DS, and the 3D really does make a difference. Loving my first ever experience with a console launch.

So what about you, GAF? Are you participating in the 3DS launch and is it everything you'd hoped it would be? Did Third Birthday live up to years of anticipation or are you trying out something else entirely?

A bunch of games on the iPad. Real Racing 2, Zenonia 2, Zen Bound, Angry Birds. Also tried out Game Dev Story but both my PC exclusive ninja adventure game and high school puzzle game tanked so I opted out of buying the full game. It's a neat device.

Also played some Every Extend Extra on the PSP yesterday.

Pilotwings Resort, Crysis 2, Shogun 2, XCom: Terror From The Deep and Ghost Recon:Shadow Wars. Too much on the go at once to be honest, finding it hard to decide what to play most nights.

Tomb Raider: Underworld (PC)

Almost done with all of Crystal Dynamics' TR Trilogy... great set of games.

Pac-Man_CE_DX_cover.png

This is the best game of the entire console generation other than the two Mario Galaxy games in my opinion.

I. love. pinball.

This game is crack. I'm 165 hours in and just can't walk away. You always think you can just finish up one last thing... forever!

I love De Blob but for some reason I'm not enjoying it quite as much as the first one. I can't put my finger on why though.

PS3 version. Beat it during the week. Enjoyed it.

A little over halfway through it right now. A lot more upbeat and over the top than TLAD or vanilla GTA4. Loving the arsenal they give you and the checkpoint system is a godsend.

Red Dead Redemption. Getting to and from locations is... taking some time. But the beautiful music and graphics is making it up

Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale

Purchased this one a couple days ago and I've been playing nothing else since then. If you don't already know it's a Japanese indie game that has you running an item shop and plundering dungeons and buying from other sellers for stock. I'm just now starting to make a lot of money after failing to pay my debts a couple times. It's charming, addictive and easy to pick up and play but hard to put down. I highly recommend it (demo on Steam).

RIFT: Planes of Telara

Rift was dominating my gaming time until I purchased Recettear. I have been enjoying some of the Rift events and just plugging away at it. I think my mage is around lvl 25 so I'm starting to see some major progress.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent

I should have finished this by now but it's too damn intense to play in long sessions. It's a fantastic game but it's almost too scary for it's own good. I'm probably getting close to the end, though. I just visited the Morgue which was lovely.

Matendouji, pretty neat platformer so far

also a little bit of Yakuza 4 and Pokemon.

A lot of Marvel Vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. I've spent most of the day just doing a ton of trials. There's now about 7 characters that I'm one trial away from completion with and the rest are done. Not too shabby considering I only really did them because I couldn't be bothered to play online today and I'm using a half-busted Dualshock, if I do say so myself.

Aside from that, I'm trying desperately to try and get into Sly 2: Band of Thieves back on my PS2. Whilst there's nothing inherently wrong with the game, having played a lot of platformers recently, it just feels like more of the same, and I hate stealth games, so I don't really appreciate that element of the game, however small. There's also the whole lure of MVC3, constantly trying to drag me away from doing anything productive game-wise and just spend all my time online.

Still a bunch of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (PS3), mostly messing with Taskmaster as my anchor now. Doing OK with him, I suppose. Finished up Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (PC) and really enjoyed it. These portable Igavanias are pretty mreh, but Ecclesia satisfied. Felt like a better realized Simon's Quest, plus it had good artwork and the difficulty was just right. I approve. Also been playing a ton of Team Fortress 2 (PC), been messing around with the Scout when my friends aren't online. Really inconsistent with him but I enjoy running, gunning and mouthing off. Lastly, The Precursors (PC) which might be the best worst game ever. God, this game is fun. Kinda sorta bad, yeah, but fun.

Been playing a ton of this. I like it a lot but I suck at putting.

Been playing this with my son. He is starting to kick my butt.

Mass-Effect-2-590x368.jpg

Just finished up Shadow Broker and about to start The Arrival.

Radiant Historia's been stealing most of my downtime.

I'm replaying Nier too. And in English this time.

Playing Ys Seven atm - about half done.

Edit: Will be getting Radiant Historia in the mail soon. Then I'll start that one.

MostlyTom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars, which is even better than I expected. I've also played some Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds with my friend.

Resonance of Fate (PS3), 155 hours or so and on the final chapter this first playthrough. Gonna hit up Neverland once, I finish these final 5 ranks in the arena. Zephyr is close to being at 300 with everyone else close.

Hm and The Sims 3 3DS, fun for the bus rides on my commute.

Haven't had as much game time this week as I would have liked. I picked up Costume Quest (XBLA) with it's current sale price and I'm having a lot of fun with it so far. Most of my time is going into Crysis 2 now, trying to rank up in the multiplayer (Level 17 so far) before sinking some time into the single player.

Been playing Chrono Trigger DS and Chrono Cross again. Which is weird considering how many new games I have picked up lately. The Chrono games have always felt like "comfort food" games that I can always return to and feel at home.

Also been playing Bayonetta. Now that I am actually understanding how to play it, I am really having a blast.

Pilotwings Resort
Tiger 12: The Masters
And they psycho that I am, I'm not playing Augusta until I qualify in the Road to The Masters mode...and I'm not close :(

I've been playing Pilotwings Resort mostly. I'm taking a break from Pokemon Black. Going to pick up Steel Diver soon too probably.

Been playing 3rd Birthday and Parasite Eve along with MvC3. I've been trying to get into Pokemon Black, but it's boring me to death. I'll probably just return it.

Tomb Raider Trilogy (PS3) - Watching the Underworld credits as I type this. Finished Legend earlier and I'm at the start of Greece in Anniversary. I hadn't played Underworld until this collection, overall I liked it better than Legend but Anniversary is still the king, unless my memories are changed by replaying it. TRU does have the superior adreline shot, I just wish they'd added a way to chain them together.

Mass Effect 2 (PS3) - Started Lair of the Shadow Broker, I wasn't impressed by
the boss battle against the Spectre lady, when your gameplay is mostly cover based shooter, why break your own mechanics into a sloppy unsatisfying mess like that.
. Downloaded Arrival, not played it yet.

Dissidia Duodecim (012) Final Fantasy (PSP) - Played a bit since getting it, I really like all the new characters, especially Tifa and Laguna. On the final chapter of the new story mode. I'm probably going to stick to my pattern of playing on bonus days. I'm happy to just keep playing away at this for a long time to come.

The Third Birthday (PSP) - On Episode II. I've seen some really negative things about this which I don't understand. I mean there's disliking a game but what I've played doesn't deserve the level of vitriol poured at it.

2 straight weeks of nothing but Yakuza 4. Just a total beast of a game, and I'm not even halfway to 100% yet.

Need to hurry up because I'm anxious to finally start Mass Effect 2, BttF Episode 2, and all the free PS+ stuff I've been ignoring. Plus Portal 2 is right around the damn corner. Ugh.

Persona 3 FES
Back to the Future Episode 1
Dragon Quest IX
Star Ocean: First Departure

I've been getting a good amount of gaming time in when there hasn't been baseball on TV. Finally back to making headway through the various RPGs I'm playing.

Just starting out. I love it.

51I1tS%2B6vnL._SL500_AA300_.jpg

201 hours in. I've done just about everything except beating Cynthia. I mostly just grind to level Pokemon to fill my Pokedex.

61QOWPjVi%2BL._SL500_AA300_.jpg

I just play vs cpu for fun.
