That's a good call, I somehow forgot about Christian who has been fire as of late. MJF I preferred before this dumb ROH tag title bromance with Adam Cole. The guy is just a better heel and getting Super Cena Booking makes little sense to me. I'm beyond ready for him to lose the belt (Should have been Jay White with the circumstances)

FTR the best modern day tag team in wrestling, how can I best use them? Trios matches or stable #47 so they can go back to being henchman for MJF Wardlow. Have we upgraded Wardlow from being the new Goldberg to being AEWs Roman Reigns with his bloodline?

The first couple of matches were nothing to write home about. Main event was decent since it had Danny LimeLight and Shane Haste in it. (I think Bad Dude Tito might have actually been hurt at the end. I think I saw him mouth "fuck" when he got hurt.)

Would be interesting just to see what other networks would want any non WWE wrestling. To be fair, I'm curious how WWE would do on WB channels versus it being something that feels like it's always been a USA network thing (I know they weren't for a while). I can't see a world where WWE would go there without it resulting in them cancelling their AEW deals though.

Geez, those of with FIOS bad news. We're losing AXS January 1 if nothing changes. Damn, so Impact/TNA won't be on my cable system. Admittedly I have a NJPW subscription so I can still see wrestle kingdom. Still a little peeved since Hollywood wrestling isn't doing anything I don't really have any alternative to WWE other that Women of Wrestling. (Fingers crossed AXS works out something with FIOS though.)

Happy for Joe, but not excited for the product right now. Cole should have won the belt somehow as part of devil payoff IMO. Not sure of the point of it all without a real prize to win from it.

It does sound like Impact/TNA booking doesn't it? (IE where the plot doesn't actually make sense and doesn't lead where it should.)

I've never understood the appeal of Cole. Seems like a good talker but that's about it. Not particularly exciting in the ring. Small and kinda flabby. Maybe I've been listening to Cornette too much but he doesn't look much different that the guy who did my oil change last month lol.

Undisputed Era was excellent with him at the helm and nxt has been this wrestlings fans show to miss since they been gone.

I figured it'll be on something. Hopefully it's better than last time I watched them that way. (I tried watching them on their app back in 2019 because FIOS didn't get pursuit. It was literally unwatchable as in I couldn't get their app to actually show the program. It kept getting stuck showing the same commercial over and over.)

Punk v. Seth needs to be one on one. Doesn't matter if its Cody or anyone else, a third wheel would just water down their program. I'm giving HHH the benefit of the doubt and refusing to believe he would do that.

I could potentially see them taking the belt off of Roman before WM though. Maybe Cody gets robbed by a Priest cash in before WM, with Cody then facing Priest at WM for the title. I don't think Rock and Roman necessarily need a title on the line. But even that feels doubtful as I type right now. Keeping the belt on Roman would just increase the stakes and drawing power. It would also give them an easy way to change some storylines in one fell swoop. Rock beats Roman, Priest cashes in that night or following month. Then they have a new champion, Roman is still protected because no one on active roster beat him for title, and Roman could also stay out of title picture for a while when Solo decides to take Roman's place at the table after Roman lost to Rock.

I still expect it to be at EC, they need this PPV to be a bigger deal then in the past as it is the lead in to mania AND is a big overseas show. People will fly from all over to see that match and then it won't take away from Cody at Mania getting the big win and moving over to SD to take the champ spot there. Mania is gonna have viewers and attendance regardless of who is there, Rock/Roman can make EC at least exciting for the folks there like whichever PPV was in PR that got such good buzz. Rock is old, him and Roman can have their slow match not at the end of like 12 hours of two days of wrestling with the whole crowd knowing the result at Mania and just let it be a fun experience for EC fans

Darby prematch was like "try to kill me this match ok?"
That knee on the suicide dive - then the triple sombersault release suplex on the ramp.
Hilarious.

I liked the cole stuff - joe had a great promo - and love that swerve is now in the main belt conversation - its gonna happen.

Plus a mid match dance off with Garcia and Prince Nana - are you kidding me?
How about the sharpshooter on the table - but they ran out of table.

Great quality actual wrestling in the matches too.
A nice reset for AEW this week.
