The reason is that it's an old game and the demand isn't there to justify the resources. What's the reason they won't update Battlefield1?Dynamic 4k or true 4k 60fps will be amazing.Or imagine Bf3 or4 get update
In EA's opinion.
after them being quite I just thought "eh they aint doing it" after hearing 1 dude did QB I had had slight hope but didnt expect DICE/EA allow someone to leave Battlefront 2/Battlefield V for that.Didn't BF1 release late 2016? Plus it got updates all this time including DLC. Plenty of games that released before that have gotten x patches.
It doesn't hold up all that well to be honest, but there's a certain charm to the game that helps carry it.Those Morrowind upgrades featured in the above video are spectacular. While it's true it's not in the realm of what a high-end PC can do, I still always preferred the Xbox version of the game simply because of it's controller support and controller-first designed menus.
I haven't fired this up on my X yet, but I definitely plan on giving it a play through soon.
I agree, but that would require them touching the game code though, and none of these BC games are having that done. There's a fairly simple morrowind widescreen patch that has been available for pc for years. I'm sad they didn't apply it to the xbox one x enhanced emulation of the game.
Also it holds up better when the in-game console is available. They should have enabled it on the xbox one x. The xbox one supports a usb keyboard. Would have been easy.

So I just recently got my Xbox one x and I've been VERY pleased with it. Downloading Quantum Break again, however, and I'm noticing some HORRIBLY intrusive screen tear and other performance issues that aren't addressed by the latest digital foundry video on the game, which released around or just before the time of the latest patch--the one meant to iron out the graphical glitches introduced by the first 4k* patch. I can't find anyone else covering this--the patch may have fixed the glitches sure but performance is worse off than base hardware even. What's the deal? The game is in a horrible state now
Does no one give a fuck about this game that badly?

Alan Wake needs a full blown remaster, while enhancing the original would look significantly better, it needs other things to be great.I really hope Alan Wake gets the enhanced treatment. I popped my copy in last night and played for a little while.
I played through it again after the second 4k patch and I didn't have any issues. Are you using an external? So I just recently got my Xbox one x and I've been VERY pleased with it. nope, just the stock drive. Have you played through it recently, after the "glitch-free" patch? Edit. Are you sure? Lol It's at version 1.0.0.46 if you want to compare. Intrusive screen tear and worse performance (play through the second episode until after you meet your friend and before you have to use your time powers to run through a timed gate-the performance in this area really stutters and is 100% worse than base hardware)I played through it again after the second 4k patch and I didn't have any issues. Oh I think it is. It's a worse feeling experience and the screen tear is really obvious. And I'm not even particularly sensitive to that kind of stuff. The game's performance profile is DEFINITELY not as smooth as what's shown in the latest DF video
It's a shame too as every other enhanced game I own is a night and day difference from base hardware
If you're looking for a video, you could use mineI could get video of the game but wouldn't know where to pull it from. Is that xboxdvr website still a thing? I'd need a link.
But it's super obvious you guys. And cutscenes skip frames like crazy. This isn't something you miss

Stretches of the game run well enough but then you get some bad oddities that are really an eyesore.
QB deserves better. It can look MAGNIFICENT at times
I was really excited when the patch went up, because I really like this game, but the introduction of stuttering during cutscenes, and screen tearing has me waiting for a new update. Thanks for that! Knew I couldn't be alone.
Really sucks the state the game is in now.

There was the initial 4k update, which had an issue with visible vertices, and a couple others. Then they released a patch in March which fixed a couple of issues and introduced a couple of new ones.how weird, did they release a update after the 4k update that introduced this?
It would be nice because alan wake is removed from digital stores but PC version is very good if only someone bought it years ago (on PC it's possible to experience Alan Wake with much better picture quality and I think possible X1X version would look very similar)I really hope Alan Wake gets the enhanced treatment.
