Lao new face looks really great with more define face structure and jawline. He looks more like important character now than just normal looking NPC.
I think in original game all the important characters and NPCs build with character creator tool but with the new models all major characters have unique face.

IIRC they only introduce that there are multiplayer quests in a special area. But the quest is done when you visit the room. The online component of this game is kinda similar to Dark Souls. Another player exists as a "ghost" and can help you finish a rotating mission or tell you where a certain thing is.

As I said before it's been so long since I played the game but I got stuck and dropped it due to having a hard time figuring out how to progress the main story. From what I played of the game which was a decent amount (10 to 15 hours) I had a blast. To this day I still think it's the best looking Xenoblade game I seen. I really wish the other Xenoblade games incorporated the No Fall Damage. And I'm happy that Monolithsoft took the extra time to make sure the port is great. I'm pretty sure that they took the time to address all the complaints that the original game had like the small text. Even on the Wii U Gamepad it was small. What I found interesting is how the game on Wii U is around 25 to 30 GIGs and I think that the port is around 15 GIGs. I'm interested in seeing if they added hit detection to the world because it was pretty funny to see cars go through your character. Not that I minded though. I just hope that they can blow the performance of the original game with this port. Because not only did it look great but it ran great on Wii U. And than you have to account for portable mode when it comes to Switch

When I played the Wii U Version I remember being stuck 10 to 15 hours into the game because they told me I had to go and use multiplayer to progress the story. I had to go and use some online lobby and noone was there because by the time I started playing the game, I ended up playing it when the Wii U was officially dead so there was no other players. I might be wrong though since it was so long ago
The multiplayer was never required to progress the main story.

I'm a sucker for transforming mechs

And that shit doesn’t even happen til you’re like 50+ hours in

Loved all the society aspects of the game. Building posts to extract resources on the map and organizing them, funding equipment brands to unlock new weapons, having to buy for expensive parts for the mechs, paying for insurance for the mech etc... All of this made the world incredibly immersive.

I think I remember that once you had taken a story quest, you were stuck with it though and could not abandon, even if it was too difficult. This was an issue a few times for me.

All the systems in this game are not well introduced to be frank. They were like "there" and do your homework if you want to understand clearly.

The one Xenoblade that never clicked with me, the first is one of my favorite games but there was something about the story and world that wasn't pulling me in, I dont think this release will fix that. :messenger_frowning_

Considering I love the other games that much there is always that thought at the back of my mind of getting this.

Once thing for sure if you are a Xenoblade fan, no console will come close to the switch for you with all the releases we have had on it.

Maybe you don't like the sci-fi story? Xenoblade 1-3 are mainly fantasy games
The main story of X is in the back seat. The main focus is exploration and the journey you have while exploring it.

Never played this on the Wii U, so excited to see it getting a new release.

However, it's being advertised as £69.99 on Amazon! That'll be the first £70 Switch game. Surly this is a mistake, right?

I seen that price on amazon as well, if that's the new price I don't see Xenoblade Chronicles X finding a new audience. :messenger_grimmacing_

This is the only Xenoblade I managed to get CE for it....and it was worth it, the artbook in particular was awesome.

You Americans got a much better CE, in the EU nintendo had this real hardon for these uniform game sized boxes, so that's what we got.

Compared to the new ones it fucking sucks.

Just wait, it's still the first trailer. The first trailer of Xenoblade DE also didn't have CE announcement

They announce the CE in Nintendo Direct mini video (second trailer)
