I think its worth remastering and imho should have been remastered at the start of the Switch generation, simply don't buy much if any remasters at full price.
I'll get it day 1 if I can find a pre-order bonus or will just wait for a sale as my year is pretty packed already and by the time I get around to playing it, I'm sure they'll be a bunch of used versions in the wild and a few sales.
I'll look for some of those pre-orders to see who actually has any discount here in the US or look into other regions
edit lol I forgot I got MGS3 remake from the UK cause of some steelbook version lol So I'm open to buying it from another place for that discount

To me that depends on the game, I will gladly pay full price for Monolith Soft because they always put the work to improve the game from the original release.
We can argue about this all day I would say you should look for discount or wait for price drop.

The game should be a tad cheaper still since the screenshot I've shared had the 20% VAT included in the price (all European prices are this way). However, the shipping to the US is more expensive since it's cross-Atlantic and will eat into those savings.

I am always getting my Switch games in physical form. But I love cartridges.
I try to get them where they are cheapest. Usually some EU Amazon or Netgames.de or Coolshop.de or so.

Good games deserver their price. The quality will be remembered long after the price is forgotten. If you don't like it, there are of course many newer, shittier games you could waste your money on, but none of them will hold their value like any XBC physical will and if you have any taste none of them will be as good either.

I’m big fan of Xenoblade series so for me it’s absolutely worth the price.
Thankfully no one is forced, If someone thinks it’s not worth the money they are more than free not to buy it.

Agreed, I feel you have to be a really big fan of a property to purchase a remaster within one generation at full price
Even the games that I gave game of the year at release I don't know if I'm willing to buy again at full price 1 gen later. So I don't see this as the norm, I see this more so as enthusiast or someone is a very big fan or something like this is I would argue this is more abnormal based on the price as most remasters are not releasing at full price
I would say the only reason I was looking to buy this is so I don't have to bring out the Wii U lol, I think this should have been remastered at the start of the Switch generation and of all the ports they did during that time, I'm shocked this wasn't one of em.
My decision not to purchase it is no question of its quality or anything like this because there is games that I felt were of great quality 10 years ago that I could not justify full price today for re-release. So I'll probably end up purchasing it during a sale. I'd probably also be willing to spend full price if I had more time on my hands lol

I wanted it to see Xenoblade X on switch with improved UI and character models and not only they give us that, they also giving us extra story content like Future Connect in XCDE and with that I'm more than happy to buy day one.
I will do same if Vanillaware decide to bring Muramasa in to modern systems. I will pay it full price no question.
