Cheap? Not sure what you mean by that
Arbitrary shit screwing you over, bugs wiping the party, unknown mechanics fucking you over when you thought you were doing what you were supposed to be doing (although that kinda ties in with "confusing"), invisible melee enemies OHKOing you, crazy short enrage timers, bullshit enrage spewing constant flow of knights and wizards, etc.

Anyways, thanks for the info, much appreciated on a slow day at work. :)

Edit: kind of a spoilerish thing, but can you revive? (Feel free to PM if too spoilery)

so is there a new jump passage again? I hope so or at least something equally interesting.

VoG jump passage is just one jump. You can skip all those platforms.
It would be great if you got an extra chest if all Fireteam members touched all platforms before landing on other side.

lolz. I only want to know (1) how many loot drops and (2) how many sections until the end. People saying they are giving up until they buy and max 331 attack weapons already... lol.

It's fucking rough man. This third section seems to have a time limit AND lvl 32 enemies. The damage reduction is brutal.

This raid is crazy. I just don't imagine PUGs loving this experience since pretty much everyone has to bring their A game. The three parts I've experienced so far are extremely team oriented. From typical teamwork/stick together stuff to shit like the sword of crota section where you basically have to rely on everyone on your team to not mess up.

A lot of wipes seemly because something went wrong for one player. Might be way easier at 32 with new max attack weapons but right now it's rough. I'm playing with people I like and the sword of crota section was still rough watching a perfect run screwed up by the fifth person in the chain.

IS there a thread specific to Dark Below discussion, or would that just be the usual Destiny OT? I hadn't seen anything bumped but this and the "complain about DLC" thread.

Yeah just this thread and the OT. It is too much to follow so many multiple fast moving threads.

Im level 29 and I just want to try the raid, I am aware that at my level I probably wont finish it, I just want to try it with a group preferably blind. No pressure, I just want to have fun figuring stuff out.

Sorry for the late response. I crashed hard yesterday after the raid. Here's how our group was able to beat
Ir'Yut
:

Immediately upon entering the area, the ground slopes up to the left and the right of the jutting platforms. We quickly turned, ran up and jumped to the jutting platforms. This completely bypassed any Knights on the ground level. From there, we had a person quickly run into the room that leads to the wizards on either side and then run out. This would aggro the wizards.

While the dedicated person was completing this task, everyone else ran to the opposite end of the room of the wizards, where the rubble is. From there, we sniped the Wizards as they came out of the room. Once the wizards were downed, we cleaned up the rest of the Knights.

For the next part, we then pushed forward into the room that leads to the where the wizards where/summoning crystal. By just entering the room and hugging the far side of the wall, we were able to defeat the shriekers, again by sniping. Once the shriekers were down, we were able to employ a similar tactic on Ir'Yut. Simply hug the wall, keep our distance, and snipe the enemy from afar.

We were not able to do any damage to Crota, after an hour of figuring out the mechanic, so we gave up.

Add me to a list of players that gave up for the night on the Crota fight. After three hous in the raid, we couldn't stay alive long enough to do any significant damage to Crota.

For everyone trying to beat Crota, here is a vid and walkthrough of our fireteam doing it.

Sure. We'll post a video soon. Here's a small description though:

Sword user needs to be 31, preferably a hunter with stealth.

Everyone needs to go to the spot where you first enter the room. It's out in the open, but you won't get swarmed by thralls much. The swordbearer comes to you quicker too. Don't stay at the Deathsinger corridors, that's what everyone is doing, but it sucks.
The best thing about the new spot is that the ogres come you quick as well and you can kill them both with with weapons of light. A striker grenade that blinds them also really helps.

After the swordbearer goes down the Hunter should pick it right away and move up to the boxes at the center near Crota. From the boxes he can jump up there with the bladedancer high jump. The guys hitting Crota need to call out health percentages to get the timing right. R1R1R2R2. You can start hitting as soon as he begins to start kneeling. Don't get greedy though. You need to get out on time.

Blade user goes back to the boxes where he first jumped from and crouches to stealth. The other guys shoot Crota again to make him kneel twice. This second time is crucial and he needs to go down faster. Use Gjallarhorns this time. The blade user can right up to Crota without worrying about timing because he should be in stealth mode.

When Crota kneels 2 guys should already be standing on top of the pillars near the starting spot (there are 4 of such pillars). These guys need to take care of the Knights shooting grenades from the two towers in the back. Those knights kill the sword user, that's why.

Hopefully this will be useful. We got Crota way before the enraged sign even showed up.
