Scores range from 9s to a goddamn 2, man.
2/5, so a 4 technically

Both console versions are 900p.
PC version is coming down the line.
Make no mistake about it. They had their torches lit and axes sharpened. Nothing left to do now but scratch their heads and cry foul. Makes me glad I keep an open mind and leave the door open for games to win me back over.
Could you link me to your review? Because you've clearly played the game.
Known since August.Wait, is it not coming out PC at release, too?
Yeah, this sounds decent. I was hoping for a bomba so we could get east Asia.lol @ the forbes review. Looks like it might be worth getting once it falls in price a bit.

Shit. Makes me far more tempted to get it on PS4.
Exactly same here.
I want an Assassin's Creed with dragons and monsters. Although they don't care about our opinion so *shrug*Yeah, this sounds decent. I was hoping for a bomba so we could get east Asia.
I thought it would be along the lines of Unity, but it is doing noticeably better so far, we will see if it holds.
Another person who can't handle being in the minority position on a game. By the way, the "f2p nonsense" had no effect on my enjoyment of the 100 hours I played MGSV for.
The salt is going to be overflowing when MGSV ends up near or at the top of the GAF GotY voting, even more so than in this thread. It'll be great.
OMG!yeah no way this thread is going without a wall of shame, you guys are embarrassing. you'd like to think its some top tier trolling but no one can be that skilled
Now you know how I felt after playing The Phantom Pain and seeing the crazy amount of good reviews for a $60 game with f2p nonsense.
Never take scores seriously.
Best wishes.
This is true. I bought the metal gear sold 5 ps4 console too.
What a shit game
Back on topic. I will buy this game in a month or so when it is down to 30 euro

November on PC.
PC is November 19th
I can't stop laughing, this thread is getting more attention than almost every other thread about this game and some of the posts in here LMAO.
Some of your really expected Syndicate to really review bad when even Unity got good reviews?
The reviews have surprisingly put this game back on my radar, but there are two things keeping me from a purchase. The first is general franchise fatigue. I've played every Assassins game save for Unity. The other is general open world game fatigue. I'm finishing up MGSV before going back to Witch er 3 to finish it, and that's on the heals of 100 hours plus I put into finishing Dragon Age Inquisition. I think I need to play some smaller games to cleanse my palete before devoting another few months to another open world game, and I have zero tolerance for filler right now.
The only thing confunsing thing about the reviews are some saying the game breaks away from the franchise's moorings and conventions while others say it's still stuck in the past. Which one is it?
Agreed. The fact that they review the game they got and if it is in fact enjoyable and not all the outside stuff is refreshing.A lot of people were (and still are) expecting the main sites to become bored with the series and reflect that in scores .
The gameplay videos and previews for this gave no indication it was significantly different
LOL people are complaining there's no co-op or multiplayer? Give me a fucking break hahahahahaha
Wow, I didn't even realize.
They've really mastered removing features. I don't know why I didn't notice that.

IMHO they are not. Its highly enjoyable and the interplay of the protagonists WITHOUT resorting to the 90210 antics you would or could expect is refreshing as hell. Its a cool interplay that reminds me a bit of Rogue without the world ending shenanigans.(I loved Rogue though). Its cool to have the larger narrative and the smaller one both be interesting.Gamespot's praise of the story has me interested/cautious. If they're not bullshitting, that really would be a reason for me to pick this game up, but that's something I need to wait for GAF impressions on.
how can you put something like this
and still scores with a 8,5
lol
to polygon, sure it is
polygon's scores:
Assassin's creed III - 8
Assassin's creed Black Flag - 7,5
Assassin's creed Unity - 6,5
Assassin's creed Syndicate - 8,5

As a note to everyone, while we've been mulling it for a while, we're now banning for complaining that different reviewers at the same site have different opinions.

My copies arriving tomorrow and I'll be playing this weekend, cautiously optimistic.
My favorite part of AC is learning all the little historic details and finding something that is truly interesting to me, like after AC4 I went on a windjammer cruise with the family in the caribbean and we explored all the islands and just loved that entire historical period. I went to Italy 4-5 times after the AC2 series including my honeymoon and we spent 3 weeks at a cooking/language immersion class in Firenze/Florence, memories I'll cherish forever.
Not as much a fan of Victorian England but hopefully something new and interesting pops up.

AC:Unity is 19.99 at walmart is it worth picking up?
I was a fan of the contained story in Black Flag. But I hear Unity's story is kind of shit. SHould I pick that up, or wait for black friday and pick up Syndicate?
I'm a sucker for London, and gangs of New York vibe I'm getting from this game.
As down as I am on AC and open-world checklist collectathons in general, I still picked up Unity and Black Flag super cheap on a sale a few weeks ago and found some minor entertainment in them.AC:Unity is 19.99 at walmart is it worth picking up?

I always appreciate when that gets nailed.
That would only happen if the games visuals start getting worse enough to get overshadowed by the, sometimes, bland mechanics and glitches.A lot of people were (and still are) expecting the main sites to become bored with the series and reflect that in scores .
Just a quick look so farHas Giantbomb reviewed it yet?
