This thread isn’t concern trolling. It’s more like hating/mocking the shit UI on PS5, and is valid until Sony steps up and shows this shit isn’t real (which I suspect it probably is).

I may be misremembering, but wasn’t the Vita those fucking bubbles? That was truly horrendous. I still have one, might charge it up to reminisce lol. Always hated Sony’s UI work... No one really gets this right IMO - current gen rank for me is Switch, Xbox, PS4 in that order.

People generally like to crap on Nintendo but I agree with you on the switch. The UI is very basic but it never feels bogged down except when you are in the store then it is terrible.

If you can tolerate the looks of the console itself the UI should be a breeze and there is no reason to give up the games you prefer over something as minor as the UI.

Well, PS5 looks...fine to me. It’s different, no doubt but I like when you just break from the past and create something totally unique. And I like white so there’s that. Now, it has to be quiet, otherwise GTFO.

I'm not saying it isn't bad, and I'm not saying you shouldn't complain about it. But going to the length of not buying the system because the menu UI looks ugly is the dumbest fucking thing I've ever heard. Regardless of what other actual features you use, it's a menu, you press left, right and X until you find the thing you actually want.
