Didn't even know they developed so many games after LiS. But the output seems to be all over the place genre/theme-wise.

Instead of trying to adjust the themes/design goals, they should optimize and streamline the processes to reduce development time and reuse assets with a focus on specific genres like narrative adventures. Niche, but loyal customers. The wider audience is occupied with playing FIFA, Genshin, Minecraft, Roblox, and Fortnite.

Thats might explain why the main characters dont have male/female gender anymore, now its the Body type A/B, The trolls have green lips now instead of red lips, outfit of a female class has been censored to cover more skin, and the clerics cross in they outfits was replaced by a trident.

In this case it's not too bad. The female does look better albeit loses that classic bikini only look.

The religious symbol probably removed to avoid any and all real religion, which isn't a bad thing and really not a big deal.

The pink lips. That's the one I always find stupid. Lip pigment doesn't automatically = black racism even for people born and raised in the damn west. So the change is dumb but again whatever, it's what American and western Europe would flag on their negative checks.

This is probably not DEI specifically but art review for localisation/easier to cross the line stuff.

Dei would be if you saw sudden change in characters all blatantly trying to tick an ethnic and body type box. Like nearly all brand commercials lately.

To me this doesn't bother me at all. It just doesn't. I can't get worked up about it. And wasn't it like this in a few other recent DQ games, as well?

Either way, this doesn't seem to nearly rise to the level of being boycott-able, whatsoever.
