Some of the best games are known for their horrible stories. In fact, a lot of the best stories (in general) come from basically boring setups. The devil's in the details. It's not "what" is told that makes a story great. It's "how" it's told.
Yeah I just don't care enough. I don't like Neil Druckmann's style of storytelling. $70 is a tall ask to just "give it a try". I'd rather spend the money on something I'm more confident I'll like.
