Shaving your head to hide your identity makes no sense when you already sported short hair, per the in-game photo of the crew, and are still wearing the same jacket as in the photo.

It also doesn’t explain why the rest of the crew get killed off. Additionally, isn’t the ship a little small for the 3 members of your 5 man crew to sit around in? It’s doable but there’s not a lot they’d be doing.

Current AI can already identify any face in the world, and it's even easier without any hair. It's just another forced and obviously stupid plot to justify baldness. Reminds me Kojima nonsense about MGS5 naked character.

I have not made any posts whining or complaining about Intergalactic, I had very little interest after how much of a letdown TLOU2 was (terrible story that had issues beyond identity politics bullshit), but I will say this:

Reading shit like this is so incredibly cringe and delusional because it shows just how genuinely parasitic this "inclusion" push has gotten. People are complaining because its a shit, generic character design that reeks of inclusion committee nonsense, the character in the trailer has zero personality and doesn't bring anything new that we haven't seen before. Nobody is offended, they're simply voicing their critical opinion on how blatantly obvious it is.

I remember quite clearly that for about a decade (from 2012-ish or 2013 to a few years ago) you had feminists like Anita absolutely screaming their fucking skull off about how sexist video games were by using extremely contradictory and misinformed examples from video games, and how it was highly offensive and demeaning to women. People like Druckmann rallied behind this and used the justification of "we aren't taking anything away, we're just looking to add more diverse and progressive characters to our games" and that it would be great. So with all of these actual offenses taken (and them being called snowflakes/grifters, which the grifting part was definitely true in Anita's case), now it has absolutely taken over game companies and has effectively rotted away creative freedom in place of making sure the HR people and "inclusion" committees are happy.

So the excuse of "we aren't taking anything away" that was parroted so often was clearly completely bullshit, and just an excuse to push very obnoxious, self-righteous identity politics into video games. And now if you're complaining about it, YOU'RE the "snowflake", despite the people getting this shit going were the ones screaming like actual children about issues that weren't even true.

Actually fuck off, please. People are right to see what ND has devolved into, I remember a time where a ND game was absolutely THE talk of the town, forget about anything else releasing. Now the company that was known for fun doesn't want to make fun anymore.

Was figuring the main protagonist's hair was shaven to keep the critters out. Who knows what type of lice/insects there are out there on some barely working spacecraft and upon other worlds. You've got to be prepared. And so maybe her hair (example) grows as you play so you have to take care as to not become impaired by some unknown disease from some strange insect, flora, liquid, resource. Maybe your leg or arm can become infected from something and so you need to remedy it or you die or it can spread out of control. Maybe her cranial scars indicate a prior surgery or trauma? Notice the scars are rudimentary, uneven, as if by haste and/or an amateur, seemingly not with precision. Emergency surgery done by herself? Imagine having to do that in a game using motion controls or by another player doing the surgery? Give it a chance, people. It's probably something really special.

Most common people aren’t conventionally attractive, so having a chick that is all done up to the nines with makeup and hair and shit doesn’t feel very authentic, honestly. On the other side of the spectrum you have Stellar Blade which sounds like might be more preferable to you, but I’d argue that it doesn’t feel very grounded in reality. These Naughty Dog games with the “ugly” characters you talk about feel more authentic and in line with the art direction they’re going for. The stories also usually focus on underdog characters, so it makes sense they don’t look “perfect.” I get why you prefer attractive characters but I don’t understand complaining about it when they go more for someone you might see walking down the street.

It did the rounds that some employee was so upset with the crunch/unpaid overttime that they leaked all the biggest moments of the game online. And then it turned out that it was just poorly managed AWS keys (single key across projects) that allowed someone access to Naughty Dog's online repos. That tells me this is likely pretty bullshit, and just someone looking to stir up shit that fits a narrative after the negative reaction to the game's reveal trailer.
