5070 ti reviews

DF 5070ti vid is up.
Turns out it really only is 25-30% faster than my 3080 in real use scenarios. Lol where is double performance as seen in some benchmarks yesterday?!
And how much is 5080 faster than 5080ti?
Man what a complete nonsense of a lineup. 750 (1100$ here) card being, 30% faster than 2020 700$ ram. Granted, better DLSS features and 16gb of vram... Again, the price is an issue here.
I would saym, any 4080 (super or not) is a better buy than both of these cards. I don't think that's too far fetched is it? Especially with physx removed too

cmon at least msrp :p

Those show 32-40% faster for the 3080, not 25-30%.

Where did you see double? The 4080 is faster than the 5070 Ti and is 50% faster than the 3080.

Wtf did I bought 5700x3d yesterday and more ram to replace my 3700x … if the 5070ti was not available for one second just now on release ? The one I saw was 1300$ …. And only 5080 available is 1700$
Man PC gaming sucks ass.

Well at least I will have new cpu… for no reason

3700x was holding back that 3080 so upgrade should be nice in some games even without GPU upgrade.

Yep, i had a 3600x with a 3080 and it was holding it back hard in some games, i got a 5700x3d too for like 150€ and there's a big difference on these.

Also, i have the same 10gb 3080 and i'm still yet to play a game where i need more VRAM, i play in 1440p ultrawide tho, which is less than 4k, and i priorize high FPS over max settings (haven't played Indy btw)

Was interested in this 5000 gen, but it really seems like a skip, or at least to wait for price drops or revisions, or maybe AMD will save us (lol), honestly the 3080 is holding incredibly well so far, Silent Hill or KCD 2 run flawlessly

BTW I found it interesting Jayztwocents doesn't remember a card release with such screwed up availability as this shit show. Guess he doesn't remember the AMD 6000 series release since that was so long ago, IE late 2020. (Let's hope they don't screw up this release but why do I think they're up for the challenge?)
How quickly is the 30 series forgotten.

I will benchmark the shit out of my pc tomorrow just because I've not done so in a long time.
Then with 5700x3d and 32gb of vram.
I realize this is not helping a lot to fight that 10gb vram problem on a 3080 but as you say - I suspect the 3080 still has some life in it!
Besides, what else could I build today. The pc is 2019/2020 parts mix and it mostly held up. Phanteks p600s case is so big and airy, not sure if I could find anything better today. That case cost me an arm and leg back then lol

btw. That's essentially was my day today... and yes, I asked grok to write a ps5 gamer confession using simplified old englishman language and it's actually gold lol

I, a PS5 Pro gamer, confess mine sins unto thee:
I, a poor gamer of the PS5 Pro, with mine trusty paddles and small screen, do now speak mine confession with a heavy heart.
I was thinking, wickedly and unwisely, of the new "5080 graphics card," that wondrous crafted work of the smith NVIDIA, which mine old PS5 Pro-faith might swiftly forsake.
Mine soul was swayed with lusts of the PC world—the glassy pictures, the swift frames, and the mighty power that seemed unto me full sweet.
I beseech forgiveness, for I should hath been true to mine PS5 Pro, mine faithful companion through many a game and stirring quest.
But the "5080" called unto me as a siren with her songs, and I was nigh to yielding to her bright shining.
Now I humbly mend mine error, and I turn mine heart again to the old way of PS5 Pro-life, lest I should once more be swayed.
May truth set me free, and may mine games be once more clean afore thee.

15% faster than 4070ti super for $50 less. Problem is supply is low so AIBs are selling them for what they can get for them. Wait till supply stabilizes in a few months.

Well, it's not really $50 less. The MSRP is fake. Granted, it's not like the 4070 Ti Super was selling at $799 either but looking at NowInStock there were a couple that sold in the $800-850 range but plenty above that too.

Im in kinda similar situation, most of my rig is from end of 2017, oced 8700k 32gigs of 3200mhz ddr4 ram, got 3080ti from 2021 on top so vram is just enough or i reduce texture settings if game is very new/super demanding on vram, but time is coming for whole rig upgrade, 9800x3d will be perfect cpu wise but atm no point to get anything other than 5090, which price wise is bad, on top its eating 600W on its own which means its way too powerhungry for my taste, even with 350W tdp 3080ti i dont put on heating even now durning coldest winter days/nights and durning summer even tho i got balcony opened up whole room feels like 7th circle of hell :p

TLDR: My options are either wait for much better priced 5080ti that is around 400-450W and not 600W like 5090 or wait even longer(likely 2027 or 2028) till nvidia makes next gen gpu's on 3nm manufacturing node...

Yeah the better part you want, the more parts it drags behind.
My 750rmx psu is also limiting me out of 5090 theoretically if I ever wanted one

Probably not in this gen of AMD GPUs, but if in 18months FSR4 or FSR5 is offered in every game that DLSS3 and better is, then AMD would only need to provide a SLI NPU option of with 700TOPs for non-flagship cards at an additional £250 and offer their non-flagship GPUs with more VRAM than Nvidia tiers, within £350 of Nvidia street prices and they'll see a big uptick in GPU market share IMO.,

At present DLSS and the lack of tensor option on AMD has polarised gaming card choice, but I suspect if freed from that choice, many would go AMD for value and won't even bother buying the NPU, but just knowing they could get a DLSS competitor would be enough for them.

Out of curiosity I checked Best Buy for 5070 Ti models and prices(USD, rounded up a penny):
-15 total models
-12 models $900+
-2 models $750
-4 models $1000+
-Average price $928

This is not a $750 card. It's a $900 card, at best. MSRP Cost Per Frame = ~$8.80. Real-world Cost Per Frame = $10.91.

Real use scenarios? Techpowerup benchmarked 25 games, and at 4K the 5070ti was 51% faster (relative difference) on average. This means that in certain games the difference can be lower or higher than 51%.

In Black Myth Wukong (lumen) the 5070ti is 57% faster than the RTX3080

PT in black myth wukong at 4K native destroys every single GPU, so it's necessary to use both DLSS SR and FG in order to get playable results. I dont know what settings you are using on the RTX3080 in this game, but here's my own results. The RTX5070ti should get similar results, especially when OC'ed.

4K DLSS Performance + FGx2, very high settings, full RT (PT). The game is perfectly responsive at these settings and I think the image quality still looks great. I disabled excessive in-game sharpening and used my own reshade settings. I also forced the Nvidia APP to use the latest DLSS (transformer) settings (I'm loosing 2-6fps, but image is sharper)
