5070 ti reviews

What a joke.
I was expecting this to double the performance of my 3080 + unlock the cripling 10gb of vram... it only does the vram part.
It's barely any faster otherwise and it's way more expensive. Would be too expensive even at msrp
edit: Calm down. It's faster than 3080. I see it. But not for a 1000$. Not for 2 generations/5 years later. Not enough

RTX 3080 is a capable card, gimped by low VRAM.

Fuck Nvidia.

Still expensive for a video card. I got my 4090 for around £1500 brand new. It comes down to how much income you have. Also depends on your CPU and your monitor.
4090 is still one of the best cards you can get and has a lot of video memory.

ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO + 7800X3D, 32GB DDR5 and I am playing on a 77 LG OLED 😅

Newbie regarding DLSS, the fake frames are the ones where you can see the border around, right?

Reconsidering whether or not PC gaming will be worth it moving forward. Even these mid range cards are stupid expensive considering the performance.

Hoping AMD and Intel can pull a fucking rabbit out of the hat, but I doubt it.
Amd should offer 9070xt for $599 to disrupt nvidia market but they will be stupid and set at $699

yep.
That`s the glorious frame generation that`s totally equivalent to real performance according to Nvidia.
Not that the Upscaling didn`t suffer from ghosting here or there, but that model has become so good that it`s barely an issue anymore. Frame generation is not there, ( yet? ).

How is the GPU market not collapsing right now?

I'm stuck with a 3060 12GB. In order for me to do a worthy upgrade i need to pay at least as much as a whole PS5. Without even getting more VRAM than what i have now. That would get me a non-ti 4070 at best. Anything lower than that just isn't worth the trouble.

I said this before but i feel like this generation will be the last for me as a PC gamer. The PS6 will be the first console i will get after the XBOX 360.

Wait - did they test it with DLSS 4 or without? Because we KNEW from the leaks that the 5070 is not much stronger without aid from DLSS 4.
DLSS4 is available for 3000 series cards and up. Actually I think even 2000 series can run it.

Unless you are talking about the BS 4x frame rate that only 5000 series cards can do.

Its funny, because Nvidia thinks they can charge $750-$1000 for a feature that can be done via
Lossless Scaling $7

Is it perfect, no. Though, its doing the something similar for a lost less goddamn money (4x FPS).
With these reviews you might as well take your 4070 Super and grab Lossless Scaling and call it a day.

I doubt AMD will disrupt anything. The might undercut similar performing cards for $50-100 because if they undercut too much Nvidia will just drop prices, and people will still buy Nvidia but both companies will eat lower margins without much change in market share.

AMD needs an actual competitive advantage otherwise they are just cannibalizing their own business by trying to race to the bottom with Nvidia.

Bro Lossless Scaling looks like dogshit imagine pretending it's even remotely equivalent to DLSS

If AMD does actually put out something that disrupts the market, it would still be a win for them, even if Nvidia responds with a price cut. People's opinions about a product are formed early on, and are difficult to change after the fact.

But I feel AMD is too short sighted to be concerned with things like 'mindshare' and are not forward thinking enough to lower their margins for long term gain.

It's not collapsing since nothing is available.

I mean besides low end stuff; just checked Newegg and they have only 1 RTX 4060 Ti and a bunch of different RTX 4060 from different AIB partners.

Nothing higher than that. Also no 7900 XT or 7900 XTX.

That's one retailer, but it's the biggest PC parts retailer in America, so probably same for everywhere else.

What do you mean? gtfo with your 1.7 outlier lol.
Forspoken? Cheap fucking blow man. Learn what a good game is maybe
This is just a reskinned 4080 which already was barely worth it over 3080. It's not a good upgrade for me. Not for this price.
I would get this for 500$. Just to have more vram. But not 1k
56fps vs 85fps is 51% relative difference. In black myth wukong with PT the 5070ti would be 2x times faster and it also have less performance hit when using DLSS (transformer) and Ray Reconstruction. Add to that DLSS FGx2 and more VRAM and you are looking at very noticeable upgrade.

5070 Ti not beating RTX 4080 is just sad. Especially when the RTX 4080 isn't even available anymore and so it's not like it would be negatively affecting sales of the RTX 4080.

Every other generation the 70 series has been roughly on par with previous gen 80 Ti or 80 (at the very least).

Also as much as I hate that they are now doing stupid mid-gen refreshes, the true performance uplift seems to come around then. So I guess the best thing is to skip the initial release of a new generation, and just wait for Super.

obviously better in heavy RT and UE5 game.
Well we will have more of these going forward...
Again - I would replace my 3080 but not for a 1000$.

You can sell the RTX3080 for about 1700zł ($420) in Poland. so the 5070ti would be relatively cheap. If you were to buy a non-Reference model with higher power budget (something like 350W), you should OC it to match the performance of the stock RTX 5080.

The RTX3080 is still very capable card, but that 10GB is simply not good enough if you want to play at 4K.

my 3080 is FE model and in great shape (as I barely play on pc) so I would've hoped it being a very rare FE launch model, adds some value. Certainly adds some value for me :p
I would want 5070ti/80 also be FE but I don't think I am changing anything

The 5070ti would be already very noticeable upgrade, but if I were you I would wait for the 5080 super with even more VRAM. 16GB is still plenty, but I think PS6 ports will need more.

Ahh but think positive, with all that AI improvement you could run a miner and generate more money than before thus in theory earn back the money you paid!

Take out the DLSS from this discussion because it is an upscaler.

Lossless Scaling is not using DLSS. At best it is NIS, and commonly FSR. Its MFG is seperate of the upscaling.

The point it between the 4xxx and 5xxx you get a universal DLSS upgrade in driver and a feature exlusive to the 5xxx series is 4x frame generation. For what? $250 over last generation?

Hence why its more worth it to grab Lossless Scaling on a 4xxx series card in this shit market.

Currently we're at $12 per Frame of FPS. The fuck we doing paying that kind of money. I thought $7 per Frame of FPS for my 6700 XT was absurd. Yet, here we are so far up Nvidia's DLSS ass we are french kissing them. Absolutely unable to entertain any other option as if none existed.
